The iconic Her Majesty’s Theatre turns 110 today. To help celebrate one of Adelaide’s favourite supercentenarians, the theatre is  opening the doors to the public for a special exhibition and guided tours.

Be transported by the atmosphere and excitement of a Parisian-themed revue featuring Australia's leading lady, legendary showgirl singer, Rhonda Burchmore, who joins a parade of first-class entertainers and the daring beauty of exquisitely bejewelled dancers as stage spectacular Cabaret De Paris returns to the State Theatre for 3 shows only on Friday 3 & Saturday 4 November 2023.

Adelaide Festival Centre has an array of shows and activities for families this festive season, with a packed program of theatre, music, visual arts and dance for children of all ages.

One of Australia's favourite musical theatre performers, Bobby Fox, will be joining Shane Jacobson, Todd McKenney, Rhonda Burchmore and the rest of the cast of the hit musical Hairspray, in the role of the loveable Corny Collins.

After 6,596 wig changes, close to 60,000 wig pins fitted, 1,210 costume wash loads and 30 cans of prop hairspray, the Melbourne season of the 20th Anniversary Broadway production of Hairspray is set to close on October 30, with no further extension possible.

Hey Melbourne, welcome to the 60's! It's time to put on your most colourful and crazily patterned outfit, tease your hair big, bold, and beautiful, and head on down to the Regent Theatre. Hairspray is back and this time it's the original Broadway version of the musical! Having grown up listening to the original Broadway cast album, it was a sheer delight for a theatre nerd like me to see the original version of Hairspray here in Australia. Seeing this production's opening night performance which coincided exactly 20 years from Hairspray's Broadway premiere was also a big fat cherry on the top! While some elements of the original version do now feel slightly dated and some of this production's casting choices don't always allow Hairspray's vibrant characters to shine as brightly as one would like, you can't deny that this show is just so much fun. From the moment the show opens with 'Good Morning Baltimore' to the standing ovation worthy finale of 'You Can't Stop The Beat', Hairspray will put a smile on your face and have you dancing in your seat.

Producers of the original Tony Award winning Broadway production of Hairspray are have announced that the beloved production, which is soon to premiere at Melbourne's Regent Theatre, will be touring to Adelaide and Sydney from late 2022.

The final cast members have been unveiled for the highly-anticipated Australian premiere of the original Tony Award winning Broadway production of Hairspray, which is set to open at the Regent Theatre in August.
