THE GREEN ROOM 42 – the intimate concert venue dubbed Broadway's “off-night hotspot” by The New York Times – will present Grammy Award-winner and Tony Award-nominated Broadway veteran Brenda Braxton in the premiere edition of her live music and talk show “Stars Tonight!” on Monday, March 6 at 7:00 PM.

 THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present the return of internationally acclaimed singer, actor and impressionist Christina Bianco on Friday, February 17 at 7:00 PM. After a year abroad, Christina comes home to New York City with another round of her celebrated evening “Diva On Demand,” where the set list is entirely up to the audience.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present the nightclub debut of Blair St. Clair, the drag star, recording artists and vocalist, best known for their appearances on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 10 and All Stars 5, on Thursday, February 2 at 7:00 PM and Friday, February 3 at 9:30 PM. 

At today’s matinee, Hadestown will play its 918th performance making the musical the longest-running show in the 100-year history of the Walter Kerr Theatre. Hadestown began preview performances at the Kerr on March 22, 2019 and opened April 17, 2019.

Unlike the traditional figures in Greek mythology, Orpheus is a hero, but not a warrior. He's an artist, but not a celebrity. He's a man, just a man, and one whose entire literary journey is focused on the love of a woman. Compared to Perseus or Achilles or Jason, Orpheus's tale almost always depicts how love drives him.

You may have a certain idea of what a musical based on Greek mythology would look and feel like, but chances are you’ve never seen or heard anything like singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell masterpiece (and Tony and Grammy Award winning) HADESTOWN. Told through a haunting folk rock, blues, gospel and jazz-infused score, HADESTOWN puts a stylistic and modern twist on the tragic love stories of Orpheus and Eurydice and of Persephone, the goddess of spring and Hades, the king of the underworld. Bringing the role of Hades to life in the national tour of HADESTOWN, which takes the stage at the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando December 13th – 18th, will be Matthew Patrick Quinn. I caught up with Matthew to find out more about HADESTOWN and what it’s like performing this visionary show to audiences all over the country.

I managed to catch Bradley Bredeweg, the book author of Invincible, between his multi-tasking of juggling multiple commitments.

Identical twin performers Matthew Fairlee and Ian Fairlee will return to The Green Room 42 on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 9:30 p.m. with THE EVEN BETTER SHOW, a follow-up to their 2019 cabaret, THE VERY GOOD SHOW.

The Green Room 42 will present I AM WOMAN: A Concert for Female Empowerment on Wednesday, November 2nd at 7:00pm, featuring Broadway alums Orfeh (Legally Blonde, Pretty Woman), Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Rent), Tony Award nominee Laura Bell Bundy (Legally Blonde, Hairspray), and more.

Casting has been announced for Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts’ WORLD PREMIERE production of INVINCIBLE - THE MUSICAL, featuring the music of PAT BENATAR & NEIL GIRALDO, from November 22 to December 18, 2022, in The Wallis’ Bram Goldsmith Theater.

The Green Room 42 will present The Boo-Sted Show: Halloween with Busted on Monday, October 31st at 9:30pm.

Broadway's Charissa Hogeland will present her solo show, SONGS THAT CARRIED ME THROUGH, at the Green Room 42 on Sunday October 9th at 7pm.. This 60 minute concert marks Hogeland's solo show debut.

The Green Room 42 presents Ruth Sent Us: A Benefit For Reproductive Justice on October 11th at 7:00 PM. Ilana Levine, known for her acclaimed podcast Little Known Facts, will host. Levine joins the previously announced Emmy winner Mauricio Martinez, Grammy nominees Austin Ku and Kendyl Ito, Jeff Award winner Andrea Prestinario, Emmy nominee David Dabbon, and Marina Pires and Luke Wygodny of The Heartstrings Project (Grammy consideration).

The Green Room 42 has announced its October line-up for in-person cabaret performances. October will feature new installments of Broadway Sessions, At This Performance, Villain: DeBlanks and much more.ARTZ
