Could a modern-day Oklahoma! be coming to the small screen? Emmy-nominated screenwriter Bekah Brunstetter is currently working on the concept, according to Claremore Progress.

Members of the cast of Oklahoma! will appear at Barnes and Noble to celebrate the show's cast recording release with an in-store performance and signing on August 22.

Tuesday, August 6th, Stellene Volandes, Editor in Chief of Town & Country Magazine hosted an afternoon Oklahoma! event at Hearst Tower which was comprised of a panel cast discussion and performances of “Oh What A Beautiful Morning”, “Lonely Room” and “People Will Say We're In Love” by Damon Daunno, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Mallory Portnoy and Patrick Vaill accompanied by the show's musical director Nathan Koci.

Oh what a beautiful day because Oklahoma!'s Ado Annie, Ali Stroker, just officially received her 2019 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical now that the medallion has been given its custom engraving with the star's name. Take a peek at Ali's first moments with her Tony!

Shirley MacLaine caught the Tony Award winning "Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma!" at the Circle in the Square over the weekend and congratulated the cast backstage after the show. 

The cast recording for this revival of Oklahoma is unusual, unexpected, and, occasionally, shocking, giving modern audiences an analogue for how the original shocked audiences in 1943.

Last night brought out the legendary Ben Vereen and Josh Radnor who joined the sold out crowd at the Tony Award winning revival of "Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma!" at Circle in the Square.

The cast of OKLAHOMA! showed the 2019 Tony Awards their take on Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic when they performed 'I Cain't Say No/ Oklahoma' during Sunday night's broadcast. The show won two Tonys during the show: Best Revival of a Musical and star Ali Stroker won Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical.

At the 73rd annual Tony Awards, the best and brightest of the Broadway season was on full display. The show featured performances from the season's shows, plus a slew of powerful wins and speeches. I spent the night watching the broadcast closely to put together a comprehensive recap and review - ahead, check out some of the most talked-about moments of the night!

Just last night, The Public Theater celebrated its Annual Gala, WOMEN OF THE PUBLIC, at the Delacorte Theater. Directed by Leigh Silverman, with music direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, it celebrated those who shaped our past and guide our future.

In the past few weeks, we've watched the nominations roll in. Today the final crop of nominees have been revealed, all leading to next week's ultimate announcement- the 2019 Tony nominations.

Last week I went to the Drama Desk Award Nominations Reception at Green Room 42, here in NYC.  This is one of the last few events where you get to meet some of the newest folks doing theater OFF Broadway and On Broadway.  You also get a chance to chat to some of the actors who are nominated for this year's Tony Awards, as well.

Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma! has been visited by many stars this week. Seen in the audience and backstage were Rachel Bloom, Constance Wu, Patti LuPone, Beck Bennett, Samantha Bee, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jim Parsons and Carson Kressley.

Producer Eva Price announced today that the reimagined revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! will launch its North American tour at the Civic Center Music Hall in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in the Fall of 2020. The 2020 tour will mark the first time a First Class Equity production of Oklahoma! has toured North America in 40 years.

One of the hottest lines on Broadway isn't for rush tickets or the stage door, it's for Aunt Eller's chili at Oklahoma! Spotted this week was Lin-Manuel Miranda sampling the tasty morsel. Check out the photo below!
