THE LATEST DRAFT Podcast Second Season Premieres Feb. 12

Season Two of The Latest Draft Podcast premieres this Friday, February 12. After receiving dozens of submissions, the producers narrowed down the season to eight podcast musicals and 20 cabaret songs.

Temple Theaters Digital Season Presents IRON JOHN: AN AMERICAN GHOST STORY

Based on the Grimm Fairy Tale, 'Der Eisenhans,' or 'Iron John,' and adapted by Jacinth Greywoode and Rebecca Hart, the musical was featured at the 31st Annual National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) Festival of New Musicals and The New Works Festival at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley.

IN THE WORKS Comes to The Duplex Cabaret Theatre

Honeck-Moss Productions will present a?oeIn The Works.a?? This exciting series is an opportunity for composers to try out new work in front of an audience and see how it plays in a supportive environment. It is also an opportunity to create community among the composers and their performers.

IN THE WORKS to be Presented at the Duplex

In The Works is be presented monthly and feature three composers or composer teams, each presenting about 20 minutes of new material. This month features the works of composers: Seth Christenfeld, Sophie Danis Oberfield & Fernanda Douglas, and Kyle Segar & David Kornfeld. Special Guest: Amy Engelhardt. Hosted by: Thomas Honeck.

NAMT Kicks-Off Festival Of New Musicals With THE 46TH MINUTE

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre will kick-off this year's Festival of New Musicals at The Green Room 42 (at the Yotel, 570 10th Ave) with The 46th Minute concert on Wednesday, October 23 at 7 PM.  This concert is open to the public and tickets starting at $22, can be purchased by visiting TheGreenRoom42.poptix.com.

The Festival events will kick off on Wednesday, October 23, with the return of The 46th Minute Concert at The Green Room 42.

New Plays & Musicals Unveiled At TheatreWorks's NEW WORKS FESTIVAL

Lovers of new theatre will gather this August for an advance look at tomorrow's hits at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's 2019 New Works Festival at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. This unique festival offers audiences an extraordinary opportunity to experience new plays and musicals in their early stages of development, and hear about the creative process in a "Meet the Artists" panel discussion. With multiple performances of each work, playwrights and composers are able to revise and refine their shows during the festival, allowing audiences to view the exciting evolution of brand new pieces of theatre. The popular festival runs August 9 - 18, 2019 at the Lucie Stern Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Rd., Palo Alto. Festival passes ($65 general$49 season subscribers) and single event tickets ($20) can be purchased online at theatreworks.org or by calling (650) 463-1960.
