COME FROM AWAY Tour Returns to Providence Performing Arts Center in February

The national tour of COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will make its highly-anticipated return to the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) for a limited engagement February 21 – 26, 2023. COME FROM AWAY tickets go on sale on Friday, October 7.

Review: Mean Girls Can't Make Fetch Happen at PPAC

It’s a little bit surprising that the film version of Mean Girls was both a good movie, and also a hit.  Based on a non-fiction book about high school cliques that was aimed at parents and teens, it was transformed into a charming comedy by Tina Fey in 2004. It’s not too much of a stretch to think that the creators could get lightning to strike twice by transforming this beloved story into a Broadway musical, but despite the myriad talents of Fey and music director Jeff Richmond, Mean Girls The Musical can’t capture the magic of the film and feels rather underwhelming.

THE HIP HOP NUTCRACKER Celebrates 10th Season at PPAC On in December

The Hip Hop Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky's 130-year-old ballet reimagined as a holiday dance spectacle, will travel to 30 cities this fall to celebrate the show's 10th season, including a stop at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) on Wednesday, December 7 at 7:30P. Nickelodeon and VStar Entertainment Group has announced the launch of PAW Patrol Live! “Heroes Unite,” based on the top-rated animated preschool series PAW Patrol, airing on Nickelodeon and produced by Spin Master Entertainment.

PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL Tour Recoups Investment

The producers of the first national tour of PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL have announced that the touring production has recouped its $4.7 million investment after 39 weeks on the road. The Equity tour, which launched in October 2021 at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, RI, will continue through May 7, 2023 with the final scheduled engagement in Sacramento, CA.

Mark L. Walberg Will Host WHEEL OF FORTUNE LIVE! In Providence On October 11!

“Wheel of Fortune LIVE!,” an all-new theatrical experience, announces Mark L. Walberg – longtime host of PBS' Antique Roadshow has joined the production as one of the hosts of the show and will be coming to the Providence Performing Arts Center on October 11. Alongside Walberg, actress Kalpana Pot joins the show as the touring co-host, and LA Dodgers stadium host and long-time radio personality Dave Styles joins the cast as the show announcer. 

TOOTISE Comes to PPAC in October

TOOTSIE, the hilarious Tony Award-winning musical, is coming to the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) for a limited one-week engagement from Tuesday, October 25  to Sunday, October 30, 2022.

LaMontagne and his trio will perform songs from his eighth studio album MONOVISION as well as hits from across his catalog.
