What did critics think of Take the Lead, the musical adaptation of the 2006 dance film that starred Antonio Banderas. Starring 3LW and Cheetah Girls member Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Vincent Jamal Hooper, Savy Jackson, Tam Mutu, and more, the production is now running at Paper Mill Playhouse through April 27.

Take the Lead, an exuberant new musical, is now at Paper Mill Playhouse, and it is a definite hit. We attended the opening night when the full house audience was all smiles and cheers.

Dancing Classrooms will host its annual Mad Hot Ball on Wednesday April 26, 2023 at 6:30pm EST at the Edison Ballroom in Manhattan's Theater District. The event will honor changemakers in the dance field with live music, student performances, a 'silent' and 'live,' fund-a-need auction, and of course, dancing! On Sunday, June 5th at 2:00 PM, Dancing Classrooms Philly will be hosting an End of Year Student Celebration at the University of the Arts' Elaine C. Levitt Auditorium at Gershman Hall (401 South Broad Street). This event is free, open to the public, and can be attended in person or virtually.

Due to popular demand, the Kimmel Cultural Campus expands its new FREE Plaza performance series with Family Fundays, designed to engage family audiences through playful arts presentations and interactive activities. The new family-oriented events join the lineup of FREE Plaza activities announced earlier this year, including Happy Hour Sessions, Lunchtime Unplugged, and Nightlife at the Kimmel.

The intimate participatory performance, which explores separation, connection, and the power of listening, will play The John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin from February 11-24, 2021, followed by an engagement at the Bates Dance Festival in Lewiston, Maine from February 25-March 14, 2021.

The New York City dance education organization Dancing Classrooms will hold its popular annual fundraiser, known as The Mad Hot Ball, in a virtual format on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 6:30pm EST. The online gala will be hosted by Emmy and Tony Award winning actor Bebe Neuwirth.

On Friday, November 22 from 7:00PM to 11:30PM, dancer and Dancing Classrooms Philly (DCP) Teaching Artist Donna J. Boyle is hosting a Dance Lesson & Mixed Music Dance Party in support of DCP. The event will take place at The Church on the Mall, 500 W. Germantown Pike in Plymouth Meeting, PA, just outside center city Philadelphia.

The exciting world of Dancing Classrooms, that most people know from the award-winning movies that tell its story, such as the Hollywood film starring Antonio Banderas Take the Lead, Mad Hot Ballroom, as well as Dancing in Jaffa, comes alive on the evening of September 19, 2016 for the Dancing Classrooms Contemporaries' premiere cabaret benefit event,  ELEVATE during National Ballroom Dance Week, (Sept. 15 - 25 ).
