ARMAGEDDON OUTTA HERE Will Come to the Edinburgh Fringe

Tom Johnson, Chris Roberts, and Rob Glenister will bring ARMAGEDDON OUTTA HERE to Edinburgh Festival Fringe, a surreal sketch comedy hour following two astronauts as an asteroid hurtles toward Earth.

Feature: “THE LAST SHOW” TO DEBUT AT MYRON’S AT THE SMITH CENTER OCT. 26

The Last Show, a new musical inspired by the true stories of Las Vegas performers, will present a script-reading performance and an original musical score as a benefit for The Composers Showcase of Las Vegas. The debut will be held at Myron’s at The Smith Center on Sunday, Oct. 26. A VIP meet-the-artists reception follows the performance.

ANGEL OF ARKANSAS to Premiere at Notoriety Live

“Angel of Arkansas,” a new show by Richard Oberacker and Robert Taylor, creators of Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical “Bandstand,” will receive a premiere concert-style presentation at Notoriety Live in the 175-seat Renkus-Heinz Theatre on Sunday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. 

BWW Review: ROCKETS AND BLUE LIGHTS, National Theatre

Winsome Pinnock's new political play finally gets a full run at the National, after its Royal Exchange Theatre premiere was curtailed due to Covid. It's apt since Pinnock began work on the play, which won the 2018 Alfred Fagon Award, while on attachment with the National Theatre's New Work Department in 2016.

The National Theatre has released production images for Rockets and Blue Lights. Directed by Miranda Cromwell, the play was first staged at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester before being cancelled due to Covid-19 and will now open in the Dorfman theatre from 25th August to 9th October 2021.

The cast comprises Johnetta Eula'Mae Ackles, Alistair Benson, Elizabeth Berrington, Paul Bradley, Noah Brignull, Jim Broadbent, Phil Daniels, Regan Garcia, Leo Hart, Graeme Hawley, Audrey Hayhurst, Kundai Kanyama, Lee Knight, Jamie McKie, Ryan Pope, James Roberts, Alice Selwyn, Austin Taylor, Amelia Walter and Annabelle Westenholz-Smith including nine children who will alternate a variety of roles. The 12-week run will conclude on 6 January 2019. The London Theatre Companyproduction is designed by Anna Fleischle with lighting by Philip Gladwell, music compositions by James Maloney, sound by George Dennis, special effects by Paul Wanklin and video effects by Finn Ross.
