Santa Fe Playhouse (SFP) is currently in rehearsals for the Tony Award-winning Edwardian-style murderous musical farce, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, and is thrilled to share a first-look into their sing-thru rehearsal. With a book by Robert L. Freedman, music by Steven Lutvak, and lyrics by Freedman and Lutvak. The production is directed by Rebecca Aparicio. See photos from inside rehearsal.

BWW Review: NSFW at Santa Fe Playhouse

Ever get to the theater, expecting to laugh, cry, think and be moved? This is not one of those times. I would like to say that NSFW at the Santa Fe Playhouse ran that gamut of emotions for me, but I would be lying. That's not to say that it didn't have its moments, it's just that there weren't enough of those moments to make for a cohesive and compelling evening at the theater.

Oscar Wilde's 1895 satire, The Importance of Being Earnest, is arguably his most popular, and almost definitely his most widely performed, work. Director Barbara Hatch's director's note references the daunting nature of taking on the challenge of producing such a beloved and well known work; it is my opinion that, with few minor issues, Ms. Hatch and her cast more than did the piece justice.
