Joining the company on September 6 are Stephanie J. Block as the Baker’s Wife, Sebastian Arcelus as the Baker, Krysta Rodriguez as Cinderella, Katy Geraghty as Little Red Ridinghood, Jim Stanek as the Steward, and Montego Glover will share the role of The Witch with Patina Miller. Gavin Creel and Joshua Henry extend as the Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince and Rapunzel’s Prince, respectively.
Set in the early 1990’s, the third series in the “Power” Universe tells the story of “Kanan Stark,” and his entry into the criminal world through his mother, who runs the family’s drug empire. It stars MeKai Curtis in the role of “Kanan” and Tony Award winner Patina Miller (Into the Woods, “Madam Secretary”) as his mother, Raquel “Raq” Thomas.

The entire original cast of the New York City Center Encores! production of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s revival of Into the Woods at the St. James Theatre will be extending for an additional two weeks through Sunday, September 4th. As previously announced, the production has been extended for an additional eight weeks.

After missing performances due to sickness, Sara Bareilles will be returning to Into the Woods! Into the Woods is directed by Lear deBessonet (in her Broadway debut), music direction by Rob Berman with The Encores! Orchestra, and choreography by Lorin Latarro. Into the Woods is dedicated to the memory of Stephen Sondheim.
