PCPA To Delay Opening Of Season 57

As the outlook for the resumption of public gatherings remains poor, based on the resurgence of the COVID virus and the unpredictability of the pandemic getting under control, PCPA - Pacific Conservatory Theatre will delay the opening of its Season 57 to June 2021 with plans to resume live performances in Santa Maria and the Solvang Festival Theater.

Kaatsbaan Cultural Park Announces Summer Festival 2020

Kaatsbaan Cultural Park announces today that it will present a Summer Festival, with performances of dance and art, over nine consecutive weekends to celebrate its local community and artistic communities. With over 40 acclaimed dance artists and outdoor art and film installations, the Summer Festival will take place outside following social distancing and safety protocols on Kaatsbaan's expansive 153-acres in the Hudson Valley.

Ballet Central Announces New Online Performance To A Specially Created Music Composition

Ballet Central, the renowned graduate performing company, has created a unique performance by the company's dancers who are back at home across the UK and in countries worldwide following the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.  Centrally Connected Performs, a new choreographic project realised in a three minute film, is inspired by a specially created piece of music by composer-in-residence Philip Feeney.

Tom Kitt To Headline Brooklyn Children's Theatre's 2019 Gala

Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Tom Kitt (Next to Normal, If/Then, Bring It On, Almost Famous) will take to the stage to celebrate Brooklyn Children's Theatre's 15th anniversary at the Edison Ballroom on Monday, October 21st, along with Broadway's Heidi Blickenstaff ([title of show], Something Rotten), Syndee Winters (Hamilton, The Lion King), and Gayle Turner (The Wiz), plus special performances by Shakina Nayfack (Hulu's Difficult People) and current BCT students.

NBCUniversal Aligns Its Television Studios Under Bonnie Hammer

NBCUniversal announced today that its television studios, Universal Television and Universal Content Productions, will move under a single business unit, with Bonnie Hammer at the helm. Hammer will assume the new title of Chairman, NBCUniversal Content Studios. She will report directly to Steve Burke, CEO of NBCUniversal. Matt Strauss will join NBCUniversal from Comcast as Chairman of Peacock, the company's streaming platform which launches in 2020. Strauss will also add the Digital Enterprises group to his purview, and report to Burke. The changes are effective immediately.

Walt Disney Television Launches New Programs For Talent From Underrepresented Backgrounds

In order to continue to expand its diverse talent workforce and better reflect the audiences it serves, Walt Disney Television announced the launch of two new initiatives to begin later this year: the Executive Incubator Program and the Studios Intern Program. These new pilot programs will join other well-established programs designed to create opportunities for individuals with diverse and varied perspectives including women, people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, people with disabilities and others aspiring to hold network executive roles and behind-the-camera positions across the Walt Disney Television studios.

ADF 2019 Announces Lineup For Week Four

The American Dance Festival (ADF) continues its summer offerings with the return of Rennie Harris Puremovement to The Carolina Theatre with Rennie Harris Funkedified complete with live music. Cuba's Malpaso Dance Company makes its ADF debut at Page Auditorium. ADF's hOt sUmMeR pOP uPs! with choreography by Mark Dendy, ADF's Movies by Movers, ADF's Samuel H. Scripps Studios summer camps and classes, ADF Ruby Fridays, and FREE tours of the ADF school will continue throughout the season.

American Dance Festival Continues Summer Season With PILOBOLUS

The American Dance Festival (ADF) continues its summer offerings with the return of Pilobolus to Page Auditorium in a program of classic works. ADF and the Nasher Museum of Art will co-present the ADF-commissioned The Duet Project: Distance is Malleable, Eiko Otake's collaboration with the artists Beverly McIver, Alexis Moh, DonChristian Jones, and Mark McCloughan.

Will Ferrell Brings Back ANCHORMAN Character Ron Burgundy For New Podcast

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Funny or Die is set to produce a new podcast that will feature Will Ferrell in one of his most notable roles as Ron Burgundy from ANCHORMAN.
