Beheard.world Presents BELONGING AND OTHERING at The Dance Complex

Belonging and Othering, a new work by beheard.world, will be on stage at The Dance Complex in Cambridge June 10 and 11, the fourth presentation this season as part of The Dance Complex's BLOOM Residency and Platform Raising Program. beheard.world is a racially diverse collective of Boston performing artists, filmmakers and educators committed to utilizing the arts to make positive change.     

Gibney Company 2022-23 Performance Season Launches

Gibney Company's 2022-23 performance season begins tonight with its debut at New York City Center's annual Fall for Dance Festival, which will feature the Company in the North American and Company premiere of Johan Inger's Bliss (Sept. 21 and 22, 2022).

Yan Chen Joins Full-Time Faculty Of American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School And ABT Studio Company 

Yan Chen, former Soloist with American Ballet Theatre, has been named to the dual positions of Principal Teacher for the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School Pre-Professional Division and Rehearsal Director for ABT Studio Company. The appointments, effective September 6, were announced by Stella Abrera, Acting Artistic Director of the ABT JKO School and Sascha Radetsky, Artistic Director of ABT Studio Company.

Chicago Dancemakers Forum Gathers Chicagoans For An Improvisers' Dance Jam At Big Marsh Park

​​​​​​​Chicago Dancemakers Forum partners with M.A.D.D. Rhythms, [Un]common Grounds, and We Are Collective for a day of improvisational dance practices in Tap, Contemporary dance, and Freestyle/Hip Hop. The Improvisers' Dance Jam will take place outdoors at Big Marsh Park on the city's southeast side on Saturday, September 24, 2022, 1:00-4:00pm as part of their 5th Annual Celebration of Birds, Bikes, and Beats! Free and open for the public to participate.
