The National Theatre today announces new productions for all three South Bank stages this summer: Jack Absolute Flies Again in the Olivier theatre, Much Ado About Nothing in the Lyttelton theatre and All of Us in the Dorfman theatre with tickets on sale to the public from Thursday 10 March.  

The season two premiere entitled “A Nice Boy,” finds Nikki and Jason struggling to find the right child to adopt. In the second episode, “The Sun On Your Back,” Nikki helps Karen (Sian Brooke) choose a wedding dress and Penny (Imelda Staunton) sends Nikki and Jason to a fancy dress party that could change their lives.

Today we rewind to 2015, when King Charles III arrived on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre, where it ran for 103 performances. Directed by Rupert Goold, the Mike Bartlett play was led by Tim Pigott-Smith, with Oliver Chris, Richard Goulding, Adam James, Margot Leicester and more. 

The original line up of The Craze joined forces with some of their compadres from Broadway and the International tour to conclude the Lockdown Skiffle Sessions.

Today we rewind to 2012, when One Man, Two Guvnors opened on Broadway. The play opened on April 18 at the Music Box Theatre, where it ran for 159 performances.

The National Theatre today announces a further five productions that will be streamed as a part of the National Theatre at Home series.

The hype around the National Theatre's production of Twelfth Night when it premiered in 2017 was, understandably, centred around Tamsin Greig. Not necessarily because of her celebrity status (although that of course will have been a factor), but primarily because she would be undertaking a gender-swapped role - from Malvolio to Malvolia.

The National Theatre today announces nine productions that will play on the South Bank in 2020-2021 alongside previously announced shows. These run alongside our international touring productions, three plays that will tour to multiple venues across the UK and a West End transfer. The NT also announces today that it will increase the quantity of low-price tickets on the South Bank by 25%, with 250,000 available across the year at £20 or less.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced further casting for Everything I Ever Wanted to Tell My Daughter About Men, a new black comedy by actor and writer Lorien Haynes, directed by Tara Fitzgerald (Brassed Off, Game of Thrones), being hosted in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse on Thursday 20 February.
