Dallas Theater Center has brought excellence itself to life in its production of Lin Manuel-Miranda's In the Heights.

The Broad Stage announces an expanded number of American Sign Language (ASL) interpreted performances for the 2019-2020 season in an effort to create an inclusive environment for all audience members and ensure that as many people as possible are able to experience the magic of live performance. The first ASL interpreted performance will be The Moth Mainstage in Los Angeles on October 4.

The Newest play from British playwright Billie Aken-Tyers is to be presented at The Scranton Fringe Festival on October 3rd through the 6th by the Scranton Shakespeare Festival. The play, set in a small town in the North East of England, follows the story of a young millennial trying to find her place in the world without her Father. Steph's Dad has just died, and it's up to her best friends Ant and Harry to pull her through the worst year of her life. In a year of transition, three friends discover who they are, how to grieve and that growing up is realizing that no one knows how to be a grown up, all through the medium of a good old fashioned Pub Quiz.

Polynesian recording artist Fiji dropped his newest album 'Love & Roots' on Friday, September 6th with Mensch House Records. Fiji (AKA George Veikoso ) is one of the most dynamic entertainers the Pacific Rim has produced, and continues to be one of the most influential artists in contemporary Island Reggae music.  

The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble, an octet drawn from the musician leaders of one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world, makes its Musco Center debut Tuesday, October 15 with works by Johannes Brahms, Erich Wolfgang Korngold and Felix Mendelssohn, plus a new piece by St. Martin in the Fields composer-in-residence Sally Beamish.

Marking an exciting new era for Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) and classical music in Los Angeles, Jaime Martín makes his first appearance as Music Director when the 2019-20 season launches on Saturday, September 28, 8 pm, at the Alex Theatre, and Sunday, September 29, 2019, 7 pm, at Royce Hall. Martín opens his inaugural season of sweeping programming with the world premiere of Begin, a LACO commission by Andrew Norman. The program also features Berlioz' Les nuits d'été, one of the composer's most popular works, featuring mezzo soprano Anne Sofie von Otter, and Beethoven's celebratory Symphony No. 7. A pre-concert conversation with Martín and 2019 Pulitzer Prize Winner Ellen Reid, who succeeds Norman this season as LACO's Creative Advisor and Composer-in-Residence, takes place at 7 pm on Saturday and 6 pm Sunday. The Saturday conversation will be livestreamed on LACO's Facebook page.

Doors will open at 5:00pm, participants will be welcome to visit with one another on the upper lanai; the formal Celebration will begin at 5:30pm in the Kennedy Theatre auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.
