Galactic Announces 25th Anniversary Tour

Galactic are pleased to announce their 25th anniversary tour, a celebration they're excited to share with fans across the country as they look back on their storied history together as a band. Over the past quarter century, the renowned New Orleans group have released 10 studio albums, played countless gigs and festivals throughout the world, and within the last year, partnered together to purchase and preserve the legacy of the legendary Tipitina's club. This coming February and March they will play shows across the US, with alternating guests including Anders Osbourne, Chali 2na, Jackie Green, Dirty Revival, Naughty Professor, and Southern Avenue. Joining Galactic on stage as the featured singer for this tour will be New Orleans native Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph, a singer who's musical gifts have seen her talent tapped by artists such as Michelle Williams, Faith Evans, and Norah Jones. Oklahoma husband / wife duo, The Imaginaries, Shane Henry (guitar, vocals) and Maggie McClure (keys, piano, vocals), announce holiday album Hometown Christmas just in time for their 25-date tour with The Brian Setzer Orchestra's “Christmas Rocks! Tour,” which begins November 15 at the State Theatre in Minneapolis, MN. The album features 13 tracks (track listing below) of originals, including the title track “Hometown Christmas” which they debuted on FOX'sLiving Oklahoma yesterday, and holiday favorites, and will be out November 15th. “In honor of the amazing opportunity to open for the Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Rocks! Tour,” says Maggie and Shane, “we decided to release a holiday album this year, which is a combination of our past Holiday releases plus new songs as well.”

The play, written by Tony-nominated playwright Sarah Ruhl and directed by Anne Kauffman, marks Sarah's sixth production at Berkeley Rep. CNN Films, HBO Max, and Focus Features to Release a New Documentary on Anthony Bourdain

CNN Films, HBO Max, and Focus Features are partnering for a documentary film about the uncommon life of the late storyteller, explorer, and chef, Anthony Bourdain, to be directed and produced by Academy Award-winning director Morgan Neville (20 Feet from Stardom). Focus Features will first release the documentary exclusively in theaters worldwide before the film premieres on television on CNN and streams via HBO Max. CNN Films and HBO Max will executive produce the film. Neville's Tremolo Productions will produce the film.

Wild Party is loosely based on a poem from 1928 about a couple who host a party. The description doesn't sound terribly appealing, does it? But this party was not your average dinner party. Often the cast interacted with the VIP audience members and the bartender, making us feel like we were all attending this party. While the guests wore their most elegant attire (superbly dressed by costume designer Rachael Dugas-Murray), this soiree degenerated into debauchery with sex, infidelity, a snort of cocaine, and a gun.
