A ROCK SAILS BY Closes Peninsula Players Theatre's 2022 Winter Play Reading Series

Peninsula Players Theatre present an in-person reading and a virtual audio recording of 'A Rock Sails By,' a new play by Sean Grennan, as part of its winter play reading series, The Play's the Thing. A reading of 'A Rock Sails By' will be performed in-person at Björklunden at 7590 Boynton Lane, Baileys Harbor, on Monday, April 4 at 7:00 p.m. to a limited capacity of 80 patrons. Advance reservations are required for both events.  

Casting Announced For ROMANCE IN D at Peninsula Players Theatre

This romantic comedy follows the lovable but awkward Isabel Fox (Cassandra Bissell) and Charles Norton (Neil Brookshire), two neighbors who develop a friendship while resisting their meddling parents. Meanwhile, Helen and George (Judy Blue and Greg Vinkler) unbeknownst to their kids, happen to start their own romance. 'Romance in D' is generously sponsored by Tim and Jackie Danis.  

Weidner Center Announces Digital Programming For Spring 2021

The Weidner Center for the Performing Arts announces a new slate of digital events for Spring of 2021. Upcoming events include a mix of livestream and pre-recorded theatrical performance, concerts and speaker engagements presented on the Weidner Center's YouTube Channel. Out of concern for public health, all programs will be presented with no-person attendance.

Cast Announced For THE DUST OF DEATH Virtual Production

Peninsula Players Theatre has announced the cast for 'The Dust of Death,' an adaptation by Neil Brookshire of Fred Merrick White's science-fiction short story, 'The Dust of Death: The Story of the Great Plague of the Twentieth Century.'

Door Shakespeare Reading Series Brings You William Shakespeare In A Holiday Offering

Door Shakespeare has announced the third offering in 2020's Door Shakespeare Reading Series: Dream Upon Avon, by Wisconsin's own John Kishline, running Friday, December 11 through Sunday, December 13. Shows are Friday and Saturday at 7:00, and Sunday at 5:00. The Door Shakespeare Reading is free, with donations encouraged. Door Shakespeare Opens THE COMEDY OF ERRORS

Door Shakespeare has announced their second virtual production: The Comedy of Errors, by William Shakespeare. The Comedy of Errors streams to homes from Tuesday, October 27 through Monday, November 16.

Casting Announced For Peninsula Players Theatre's Reading of HAUNTED

Peninsula Players Theatre presents a reading of Joseph Zettelmaier's latest theatrical project entitled a?oeHaunted: The Great Lakes Ghost Projecta?? on Monday, March 2, at 7 p.m. at Björklunden, located at 7590 Boynton Lane, Baileys Harbor. Zettelmaier is a four-time nominee for the Steinberg/American Theatre Critics Association New Play Award. Limited general seating is available, and admission is free.

This holiday season, Company of Fools (COF) continues the a?oeWelcome to the Familya?? theme of its 24th season with a production of Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley a?" a charming a?oeimagined sequela?? to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice that focuses attention on the bookish, dutiful middle Bennet sister, Mary, and picks up the action two years after the novel's end. The play, co-written by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon, is directed by COF Producing Artistic Director Scott Palmer and will run Dec. 11a?"29 at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey. 

Previews For TN Shakespeare's JULIUS CAESAR Begin Tomorrow

Tennessee Shakespeare Company will present a full stage production of William Shakespeare's political play a?oeJulius Caesar.a?? This professional Actors' Equity Association production is the first of the 2019-20 season to perform on the company's Owen and Margaret Wellford Tabor Stage, located at TSC's permanent residence at 7950 Trinity Road in Memphis.
