Neil Brookshire BIO

Born in Wyoming, Neil is an actor, writer, and visual artist. He earned a BA from Boise State University and an MFA in Acting from Northern Illinois University. Regional theater: Great Lakes Theater, Boise Contemporary Theater, Idaho Dance Theatre, Opera Idaho, Seattle Novyi Theatre, People's Light, Cadence Theatre Co, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Door Shakespeare, Renaissance Theaterworks, Peninsula Players, Tennessee Shakespeare Co., and ten seasons with the Idaho Shakespeare Festival. Feature films: The Pact and Coming Up For Air. Writing and producing: short films "Upper Fields," "Flesh & Blood," "Get in the Truck" (streaming on Prime Video), audio plays, "It Sounds Like a Christmas Carol," "The Dust of Death," "Nocturne." He is co-author and solo performer of BENT COMPASS.

A ROCK SAILS BY Closes Peninsula Players Theatre's 2022 Winter Play Reading Series

Peninsula Players Theatre present an in-person reading and a virtual audio recording of 'A Rock Sails By,' a new play by Sean Grennan, as part of its winter play reading series, The Play's the Thing. A reading of 'A Rock Sails By' will be performed in-person at Björklunden at 7590 Boynton Lane, Baileys Harbor, on Monday, April 4 at 7:00 p.m. to a limited capacity of 80 patrons. Advance reservations are required for both events.

Casting Announced For ROMANCE IN D at Peninsula Players Theatre

This romantic comedy follows the lovable but awkward Isabel Fox (Cassandra Bissell) and Charles Norton (Neil Brookshire), two neighbors who develop a friendship while resisting their meddling parents. Meanwhile, Helen and George (Judy Blue and Greg Vinkler) unbeknownst to their kids, happen to start their own romance. 'Romance in D' is generously sponsored by Tim and Jackie Danis.

Door Shakespeare has announced the third offering in 2020's Door Shakespeare Reading Series: Dream Upon Avon, by Wisconsin's own John Kishline, running Friday, December 11 through Sunday, December 13. Shows are Friday and Saturday at 7:00, and Sunday at 5:00. The Door Shakespeare Reading is free, with donations encouraged.
