Slidell Little Theatre opens its 57th season with Tuck Everlasting - the enchanting tale of a young girl and her discovery of the Tuck family secret. Based on the best-selling, award-winning novel by Natalie Babbitt, Tuck Everlasting is the story of 11-year-old Winnie Foster, a free spirit who longs for adventure. When she meets the Tucks and discovers they hold the secret to everlasting life, she must protect the secret from those who would use it for personal gain and also face an extraordinary choice: return to her own family, or join the Tucks on their never-ending journey.

The enchanting new musical, Amélie will make it's way to the main stage at the Turku City Theater Sept. 12 through Dec. 31, 2019.

The challenge of any theatre company is finding the right actors for each role. In TUCK EVERLASTING, WPPAC believes they have done just that. Therefore, the White Plains Performing Arts Center (WPPAC) Stage 2 program is proud to announce the cast for the Westchester Premiere of TUCK EVERLASTING, playing August 2-11, 2019.

This musical runs June 21st through July 7th, and features a beautiful score by Chris Miller, lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and a book by both Claudia Shear and Tim Federle. The show explores eternal love, never-ending life, and what it means to truly feel alive. Produced by WPPAC's Stage 2 Program, the Westchester premiere of TUCK EVERLASTING the musical will play the WPPAC stage August 2-11.

Lovers of new theatre will gather this August for an advance look at tomorrow's hits at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's 2019 New Works Festival at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. This unique festival offers audiences an extraordinary opportunity to experience new plays and musicals in their early stages of development, and hear about the creative process in a "Meet the Artists" panel discussion. With multiple performances of each work, playwrights and composers are able to revise and refine their shows during the festival, allowing audiences to view the exciting evolution of brand new pieces of theatre. Broadway Unlocked founder Jessica Ryan announced today the seventh annual #giveback concert held Sunday, April 7, 2019 at The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space raised over $51,000 for the Crime Victims Treatment Center.   The evening featured new and original work, including a host of debut songs inspired by the writings of survivors who have found help at CVTC.  A multitude of artists contributed their talents across the event's digital content and concert cast.
