IFC announced today that the Critics' Choice Award-nominated Sherman's Showcase will return with a one-hour “Black History Month Spectacular” this summer (yes, you read that right). Created by and starring Bashir Salahuddin (Top Gun: Maverick, South Side) and Diallo Riddle (Marlon, South Side), and executive produced by John Legend's Get Lifted Film Co. and RadicalMedia, the witty, irreverent and wholly original Sherman's Showcase “Black History Month Spectacular” will feature more of the sketches, A-list guest stars, and original hit, award-winning songs that, all together, earned the series a 100% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and inclusion on numerous 'Best of 2019' lists.

On Thursday, November 28 at 9 a.m., the time honored phrase Let's Have a ParadeTM will ring from the starting line as the march of fantasy takes to the streets of New York City. With more than 8,000 volunteers dressed as clowns, guiding the flight of larger-than-life character balloons, transporting spectators to new worlds on signature floats, bringing the beat in the nation's best marching bands and entertaining the crowds as part of dazzling performance groups, the annual march is jam-packed with entertainment. With more than 3.5 million spectators in New York City and more than 50 million television viewers nationwide, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is America's premiere holiday celebration.

IFC announced today that the network has partnered with Mad Decent to drop the official soundtrack for its upcoming variety sketch series Sherman's Showcase, premiering Wednesday, July 31st at 10pm ET/PT. Sherman's Showcase (Original Soundtrack), featuring full-length versions of the songs from the series, is set for digital release on August 9 via Mad Decent, the  Los Angeles-based record label founded by Thomas Wesley Pentz, better known as Diplo. The soundtrack will also be available on vinyl later this summer.

ASA Entertainment announced today that the Nissan Concert Series will expand to 21 free concerts during the Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro at the Oceanside Pier, in Oceanside, Calif., from July 26-28, 2019. The free, family-friendly event includes the largest female surf competition in the world and an empowerment festival centered around providing opportunities for women in areas of sports, entertainment, education, business and popular culture where they are traditionally underrepresented.

Linda Perry and Dolly Parton, have been nominated for a Golden Globe Award for “Girl in the Movies,” Dumplin' in the 'Best Original Song - Motion Picture' category. In addition to producing the Netflix film Dumplin' (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), Perry penned the music and lyrics for “Girl in the Movies” with Parton.

On Sunday, December 2, the One Love Malibu festival will help raise funds to rebuild Malibu and its community after the devastating Woolsey Fire. Announced by KCRW today, One Gun Ranch will be renamed One Love Ranch, where there will be a live auction and performances by Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, Macy Gray, Chris Martin (Coldplay), Robin Thicke, Natasha Bedingfield, Brandi Carlile, Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Angel Haze, Dorothy, Rita Wilson and more to be announced. Demi Moore, Pierce & Keely Brosnan, Johnny Galecki, Anjelica Huston, Cara Delevingne, Orlando Bloom, Chris Douridas, Laird Hamilton, Gabby Reece and Liberty Ross will also be involved in the festival.
