Renowned actor-writer Bill Connington presented his first feature film Love, Repeat at the prestigious Dolby Screening Room in Midtown, Manhattan on December 16th, 2019. The film received its first private screening for an audience of industry professionals, cast and crew.

Live & In Color, located in Salem, CT, is looking for playwrights, composers, and lyricists of color and/or other underrepresented communities interested in developing a new musical or play during their annual fall retreat in September 2020. The University of Washington has announced the complete roster of artists who have been selected as Creative Research Fellows as part of its first three-year Creative Fellowships Initiative. Funded by a $750,000 grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the interdisciplinary initiative will advance the field of performing arts by supporting artists in the development of new works and by integrating the performing arts disciplines into a broader context academically, artistically, and socially.
Valencia College To Host Reading Of Ancient Greek Drama About Refugee Crisis

On Feb. 21, Valencia College's West Campus will host a dramatic reading of "The Suppliants" by Aeschylus, an ancient Greek drama centered around a chorus of 50 female refugees seeking asylum in the city of Argos. As internal struggle rocks Argos and its citizens debate whether to receive the refugees, the group of women await the decision of their collective fate. The reading will be followed by a discussion on themes addressed in the text.

Northport's gorgeous John W. Engeman Theatre does it again with a stellar showing of theatre staple Man Of La Mancha, the second show of their dazzling 12th Season. This incarnation of the Tony winner, running through October 28th, is excellently directed by Peter Flynn and boasts an extraordinary cast. Long Island is certainly lucky to have this production lead by Broadway vets Janet Dacal, Richard Todd Adams, and Carlos Lopez.
