National New Play Network, together with the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival and Stanford University's National Center for New Plays is delighted to announce the playwrights selected for the 2020 MFA Playwrights' Workshop and Undergraduate Playwrights' Workshop.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts more than 120 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the 50th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which runs April 16-20, 2019 in multiple locations throughout the Center. The Center also announced the national awardees for the KCACTF. Selected awardees and representatives will be brought to Washington, D.C. for an expense-paid trip to participate in the National Festival. The Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival, the nation's premier short play competition, takes place August 21-25 at The Vineyard's Dimson 15th Street Theatre. Chosen from over 850 submissions from the U.S. and abroad, 30 finalist plays and musicals, each running 10-30 minutes in length, will be presented. The Saturday, August 25th presentation is the culmination of the week-long festival at which the Samuel French staff will choose the winning six pieces for licensing and publication in an anthology.

Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) is proud to announce that the National New Play Network (NNPN), an alliance of professional theatres that collaborate in innovative ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, has appointed Raymond Bobgan, CPT Executive Artistic Director, as President of the Board of Directors. Raymond was elected to the Executive Committee in 2016 as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. Raymond also served as Co-Chair of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee. Because of his work with the EDI Committee, Raymond became heavily involved in NNPN's strategic planning process, which will be completed in December 2018.
