On October 12, the Long Beach Playhouse Studio Theatre closes its 2019 season with the iconic musical tribute to the 1960s, Hair. The play was written 50 years ago by Gerome Ragni, James Rado and Galt MacDermot. At the time, it seemed unlikely that Hair would be relevant five decades later but it it's true. The songs are still infectiously energetic. It's a coming of age story and a love story with tough decisions and a hard-hitting ending. It's lost none of its sparkle and a new generation is ready for the message.
The 4th annual Imagine This Women's International Film Festival (ITWIFF), unveiled its 2019 official lineup. The Cleveland Orchestra announced that its Gala Evening, held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 raised more than $1 million for the sixth consecutive year. The 2019 Gala raised more than $1.2 million thanks to the overwhelming generosity of this year's attendees and the leadership of honorary chairs Norma Lerner, Nancy W. McCann, KeyBank chairman and CEO Beth E. Mooney, and Cleveland Orchestra board president Richard K. Smucker,. The story focuses on Dr. Montague (a paranormal researcher), an isolated and creepy old house with a bad reputation, a collection of his guests chosen for their susceptibility to the supernatural, a quirky relative of the mansion's owner and the strangely disquieting house staff. As the foreboding and creepiness grows we must ask the question, 'What can be done when the malevolent presence isn't in the house but is the house?'

Part one: The Hellfire Squad successfully premiered in 2016 and told the tale of Micheal Collins' assassins. They are currently working on their final installment, The Folklore Commission.
The Roaring Banshees are a fictionalised branch of Cumann na mBan, an Irish republican women's paramilitary organisation active during the Irish War of Independence and Civil War. Outlawed by the Irish Free State and sorely betrayed by both the Irish and English factions, the clan of 7 cross the pond and set up shop in Chicago.
In 1603, William Shakespeare wrote Othello, a tragic play that told of love, jealousy, lies, manipulation and murder. Seeking revenge he puts into motion a scheme to end the nuptial happiness of Othello and Desdemona. A dropped handkerchief commences the poison of false accusations, distrust and eventually murder. Iago's meddling arouses Othello's insecurities about himself. He begins to believe he is no longer attractive to his younger wife. Othello's plea to be remembered as one who 'loved not wisely but too well' brings his tragic mistake to an end.
