BalletCollective Reveals 13th Annual Fall Season In NYC Featuring New Commissions And A Revival

BalletCollective will return this fall with its 13th Annual Season, Echoes of the Unseen, presented October 28–31, 2025 at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. The program will feature two world premieres by Alysa Pires and Chloe Crenshaw—recipients of the 2025 Commission for Developing Choreographers—alongside the revival of Natural History, a 2020 work choreographed by Artistic Director Troy Schumacher with music by Ellis Ludwig-Leone and text by poet Carey McHugh.

Miriam Miller Promoted To Principal Dancer At New York City Ballet

New York City Ballet has announced that Miriam Miller has been promoted to Principal Dancer. The promotion was made on Thursday, January 30 by NYCB Artistic Director Jonathan Stafford and Associate Artistic Director Wendy Whelan, following a performance of George Balanchine's Variations Pour une Porte et un Soupir, in which Miller performed the leading female role.

Celebrating the launch of her new book Mr. B: George Balanchine's 20th Century, author Jennifer Homans (Apollo's Angels: A History of Ballet) sits down with Alastair Macaulay, and Lourdes Lopez, for an evening of conversation and performance excerpts from Balanchine's Agon and The Four Temperaments, featuring New York City Ballet dancers Gilbert Bolden III, Adrian Danchig-Waring, Emilie Gerrity, and Miriam Miller, accompanied by pianist Elaine Chelton.

Celebrated conductor David Bernard has joined the artistic staff of Eglevsky Ballet as the company's first music director since the appointment of Maurice Brandon Curry as Executive Artistic Director in 2015. Catherine Hurlin and Miriam Miller Join Fire Island Dance Festival

Two of ballet’s most preeminent dancers, American Ballet Theatre principal Catherine Hurlin and New York City Ballet soloist Miriam Miller, are joining the luminous lineup of this weekend’s Fire Island Dance Festival, which runs July 15-17, 2022, in Fire Island Pines, NY. The annual event is produced by and benefits Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

New York City Ballet Announces Seven Promotions

New York City Ballet announced today the promotion of seven of the Company’s corps de ballet members.  Preston Chamblee, Ashley Hod, Emily Kikta, Isabella LaFreniere, Miriam Miller, Mira Nadon, and Emma Von Enck have all been promoted to Soloist in advance of the Company’s 2022 Winter Season.
