Review: ALICE IN WONDERLAND at Arkansas State University Beebe

Arkansas State University Beebe theater department has blossomed so much under the tutelage of Director Ryan Gibbons that they now offer multiple opportunities for their students to work on and off the stage. In March the ASU Beebe Theatre presented BLACK BOX NIGHT, where students were able to gain experience performing in a more intimate setting, and then in April, the students adapted Lewis Carroll’s iconic ALICE novels into a script molding in their own vision. Though vastly different, both shows allowed the students to prove that they were worthy of competing with the larger programs in Arkansas.
The Beaches Will Embark on North American Tour This Fall

Canadian rock darlings The Beaches have announced their fall North American headlining tour to follow up their West Coast dates with girl in red. Along with the tour announcement, The Beaches also are celebrating one year since the release of 'Blame Brett' with a remix of the song featuring a new verse from electropunk hitmaker and current touring mate of Avril Lavinge, Royal & the Serpent. Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy Cast in THE MAGIC FARAWAY TREE

tick, tick... BOOM! star Andrew Garfield and The Crown star Claire Foy will reunite in a new adaptation of the classic children's novels by Enid Blyton. In The Magic Faraway Tree, Garfield and Foy will play a couple, Tim and Polly respectively, who move their family to the remote English countryside. After their relocation, the children discover the magical 'Faraway Tree' that houses residents who live within its branches.
Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer Cast in ROBIN HOOD Reimagining

According to reports, The Music Man star Hugh Jackman will be appearing in a new reimagining of Robin Hood, alongside Jodie Comer. The film is said to be a darker take on the tale. Titled The Death of Robin Hood, the film sees an older Robin Hood looking back at his life of crime and murder. After an injury, he is taken in by an unknown woman who offers him a chance at salvation. The film is scheduled to begin production next February.

The New Albany Middle School Theatre Department presents Seussical Jr., based on the works of Dr. Seuss, as its spring musical. Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage as Seussical Jr. weaves a story of friendship, loyalty, and love. Despite all odds, Horton and Gertrude band together to save the Whos, free Horton, and restore peace and unity to the Jungle of Nool. Seussical Jr. teaches the power of being unique, and the importance of fighting for your beliefs.

The song is a fond farewell to the endless touring cycle from Dickinson, the founder and drumer of the North Mississippi Allstars. The track echoes the theme of Homemade, as Dickinson pays tribute to the changing priorities that bring him back home to Mississippi after a long performance run.
