The Theatre World Awards will present a special 'Outstanding Ensemble' Award to 21 cast members making their Broadway debut in the Broadway Revival of The Music Man starring Theatre World Award alumni Hugh Jackman, Marie Mullen, Jefferson Mays, Jayne Houdyshell, and Phillip Boykin at The Winter Garden Theatre.
A-list guests at the event included Patti LuPone (Company, Evita, Gypsy), Ben Vereen (Pippin, Fosse, Wicked), Sutton Foster (The Music Man, Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie), and freshly-minted 2022 Tony Award Nominated Actresses Shoshana Bean (Mr. Saturday Night, Wicked) Gabby Beans (Skin of Our Teeth, 'Succession,' 'House of Cards'), and Lear deBessonet (Encores! Into The Woods, Hercules, Miss You Like Hell), who will present the esteemed awards.
It was announced today by The Theatre World Awards Board of Directors and The Dorothy Loudon Foundation, that Michael Oberholtzer (Take Me Out) will receive the 13th Annual Dorothy Loudon Award for Excellence in the Theater, and four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein will receive the 9th Annual John Willis Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre.
