PUFFS, the long-running off-Broadway HARRY POTTER-inspired comedy, is going the way of many Broadway shows, with a closing in August. But it is doing something differently: licensing four different versions of the show through Samuel French.

In the 3 and half years they have been in operation, Some Theatre Company hasn't been afraid to choose the obscure, the angsty and the downright bloody! This season will be no exception. Producing 21 shows in 3 years, 20192020 has been designed around books and movies, (with the exception of Next to Normal which had to move dates and pushed it into this season rather than the tail end of 1819)

It has sparked a cult following across the world, and now it is Brisbane's turn to step into the world of magical misfits as TEG Live, in association with Tilted Windmills Theatricals, John Arthur Pinckard & David Carpenter bring the smash-hit comedy play PUFFS or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic to the Brisbane Powerhouse from August 23.

A perfect parody of the famous wizarding stories, PUFFS OR SEVEN INCREASINGLY EVENTFUL YEARS AT A CERTAIN SCHOOL OF MAGIC AND MAGIC is a must see for any fans of the Harry Potter world.

PUFFS or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic, New York's long-running hit comedy, will celebrate its landmark 750th performance Off Broadway with the announcement that Del Rey Books will publish PUFFS: The Essential Companion, the official behind-the-scenes companion to the show. This illustrated guide includes a full script of the play annotated with insights from creator Matt Cox, and a wealth of material including interviews with cast and crew, production photos and designs, deleted and alternate scenes, and much more. The book, featuring extra material written by Jason Fry, will be published on November 5.
