Find out what the most popular plays and musicals were in high school according to Educational Theatre Association’s annual high school play survey.

From October 15th to November 1st, the Ringwald Theatre in Ferndale brings you Puffs, a play that serves as a comedic parody of the Harry Potter series. Ahead of Ringwald's premiere, BWW Detroit had the pleasure of interviewing Joe Bailey, Phoenix Eldridge, and Asia Marie Hicks.

The album consists of 11 tracks including 2 new original songs, plus reimagined fan favorites from their 2019 release Conspiracy.

YOU may know of a certain boy wizard who went to wizard school for seven years a?" but do you know the story of The Puffs, who happened to be there too? 

According to the annual school play survey conducted by the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA), The Addams Family, Clue, and Check Please received top billing for the most produced musical, full-length play, and short play, respectively, during the 2019-20 school year, which was cut short by the closures required by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ultra Corporation, creators of the long-running Off-Broadway wizard comedy Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic, continue their run of shows staged specifically for LIVE remote performance with Kapow-i GoGo Gooo! - Episode 1 by Matt Cox, premiering Friday, May 8th at 7:30pm on their YouTube page. Other episodes will premiere in subsequent weeks.

This is an important piece of theatre, bringing one of the Classics into the present.

PUFFS is not the Kleenex tissue, though you may need one to wipe away the tears running down your cheeks from the sustained laughter. PUFFS OR SEVEN INCREASINGLY EVENTFUL YEARS AT A CERTAIN SCHOOL OF MAGIC AND MAGIC opened Friday, February 28 at The Coterie Theatre in Crown Center. Matt Cox has written a hilarious parody of the famous boy wizard series of books and movies which should not be missed. Amanda Kibler, the Education Director for The Coterie, directs this look at the secondary characters from the seven years that Potter was at that school whose name we cannot say.
