Psychedelic, hip-hop and reggae genre-bending duo Space Kamp will be performing live at Florida Cannafest in Mount Dora on November 6th!

The West End production of Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical, which opened last week at the Lyric Theatre, has extended its booking period until 18th September 2022. Hailed as a major cultural event the landmark production about Bob Marley's life began performances at the Lyric at the start of the month.

The Great American Songbook is a constantly evolving canon that arguably spans almost 100 years of music. It is a collection that includes work by some of the greats of the music industry spanning decades but also genres. No one has encountered as many artists, pieces of music or indeed understands the collection quite like Michael Feinstein.

With unlimited access to Marley's magical, revolutionary songs and a book by award-winning Lee Hall, acclaimed director Clint Dyer channels the creative quest and spiritual power of a universally embraced icon. The production brings a dynamic company of performers, led by Arinzé Kene as Bob Marley, that fuse with the finest reggae musicians to bring this exhilarating story of struggle, freedom and transformation from Trenchtown to the West End.

Callous Scrooge, shackled Marley, and the haunting spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future spring vividly to life in People's Light Producing Director Zak Berkman's world premiere adaptation of Dickens' yuletide ghost story.

“Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery. None but ourselves can free our minds.” To some, Bob Marley is the dreadlocked king of reggae, writer of feel-good hits such as “One Love” and “Three Little Birds” – but there was far more to his life than that. Abandoned by his father and shoved from pillar to post in his youth, he formed a bond with Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer, the trio hoping to escape the ghetto with the help of music – although Bob probably wouldn’t have minded giving a football career a shot if that hadn’t worked out.

Marking the first full-length production that Artistic Director Joe Murphy has directed since his appointment in 2019, Sherman Theatre presents a festive treat written by one of Wales's best loved playwrights, Gary Owen (Iphigenia in Splott, Killology). Set in Victorian Cardiff, Owen's adaptation sees a female Scrooge visited by three spirits, with Hannah McPake taking the title role alongside a cast of actor-musicians.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that the Broadway premiere of Trouble in Mind by Alice Childress, is partnering with radio station 107.5 WBLS-FM, the nation’s most recognizable Black radio station, offering 300 tickets at $19.57 to every preview performance in every section of the theater. 

Casting has been announced today for the San Francisco production of the Tony-winning production of A Christmas Carol with Broadway veteran Nancy Opel (Ghost of Christmas Past) and award-winning actor, writer, and producer Amber Iman (Ghost of Christmas Present/Mrs. Fezziwig) joining the previously announced Francois Battiste (Ebenezer Scrooge).

The Guthrie Theater today announced casting for its 47th production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, featuring a world-premiere adaptation by Chicago-based theatermaker Lavina Jadhwani, directed by Joseph Haj.

The long-awaited Michael Anthony Theatrical production of 'The Music of: Ghost, The Musical' is finally haunting The Green Room 42 this fall for a one night only engagement. The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) will launch a brand new holiday tradition with its first-ever annual production of Michael Wilson’s adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol. The show begins previews on Friday, December 3, officially opening Friday, December 10 and running through December 23, 2021.
