On the heels of the success of the first-ever edition, The 24 Hour Plays will release a new set of Viral Monologues tonight on IGTV @24hourplays and at https://24hourplays.com/viral-monologues/. 24 actors have been paired with theatre's top writers, who have crafted unique pieces especially for their actors.

12-time Emmy Award® winner and Tony Award® recipient Rosie O'Donnell and actor/Producer Erich Bergen have announced that the star-studded one-night-only return of the 25-time Emmy Award-winning 'The Rosie O'Donnell Show,' raised over $600,000 in support of The Actors Fund in order to help in this time of crisis.

Tonight, The 24 Hour Plays releases its first-ever series of Viral Monologues on IGTV @24hourplays and at https://24hourplays.com/viral-monologues/. 20 of the theatre world's top writers have been paired with 20 game actors and have written unique pieces just for them. From 6 PM until midnight, the new monologues will be published, one every 15 minutes.

It may have been unrealistic to open a new play amid the coronavirus pandemic, but 'The Realistic Joneses' did just that on Saturday at Spooky Action Theatre, a group whose name inspires no further confidence (it's named after Einstein's term for quantum entanglement - the ability of separate objects to share a condition at a distance).

Producers Scott Rudin and Barry Diller announced today that Academy Award nominee and two-time Emmy Award winner Greg Kinnear will make his Broadway debut in the iconic role of 'Atticus Finch' in the Broadway production of To Kill a Mockingbird, Aaron Sorkin's new play, directed by Bartlett Sher, and based on Harper Lee's classic novel, beginning Tuesday, April 21. Two-time Golden Globe® winner Ed Harris' final performance will be on Sunday, April 19.

The 24 Hour Plays announced today that they will launch The 24 Hour Plays: Live Podcast! The first two of six episodes planned for 2020 will be recorded in front of a live audience at The Greene Space on Monday, March 16th at 8:00 PM.

Recently podcast host and Broadway alum Ilana Levine was invited to do a live podcast event at Notre Dame University and she decided to interview her husband, actor Dominic Fumusa. Known for his starring role on television in Nurse Jackie opposite Edie Falco and his starring role on Broadway in Wait Until Dark- Dominic was a perfect fit on the Notre Dame campus because he began his college career a football player but acting quickly became his passion . In a theater filled with Notre Dame students Ilana and Dominic talked about falling in love with theater (and each other), auditions, how sports and acting go together and some other inspiring little known facts along the way.

Tony Awards Administration Committee met today for the second time this season and confirmed the eligibility status of eleven Broadway productions for the 2020 American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards.
