The Guthrie Theater has announced the casting for its 48th production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, adapted by Lavina Jadhwani and directed by Joseph Haj. Matthew Saldivar (Guthrie: A Christmas Carol, The Royal Family, The Canterbury Tales) stars as Ebenezer Scrooge.

Two Thousand Miles: A New Musical is making its New York City return with an industry reading on August 19th at Open Jar Studios.

Limitless Theater Company and The Viera Studio are presenting a staged reading of Two Thousand Miles: A new musical on Wednesday, June 22nd at 6:30pm at The DRS Community Center in Satellite Beach, FL. The reading will be directed by Sharon Lee Glassman with musical direction by Ros Henciski. 

From the brilliant mind of Joe Dowling, comes the Guthrie Theatre's newest production of William Shakespeare's The Tempest, that is certain to go down as one of the more legendary productions in the Guthrie's storied history.

The Guthrie Theater today announced casting for William Shakespeare’s The Tempest, directed by former Artistic Director Joe Dowling, who returns to direct at the Guthrie for the first time since his tenure with the organization ended in 2015.

At its annual meeting today, the Guthrie Theater (Joseph Haj, Artistic Director) reflected on the organization's 2020–2021 fiscal year, which began September 1, 2020, and ended August 31, 2021. While onstage performances were shuttered due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Guthrie reached audiences through virtual programming and events, connecting communities during a time when healing and inspiration were greatly needed.

This week, A Christmas Carol dazzles its way back to the Guthrie. After co-directing Dickens' Holiday Classic, a film adaptation of A Christmas Carol during the 2020 holiday season, artistic director Joseph Haj is directing the 47th production of this classic at the Guthrie Theater.

Bunnies tells the story of five Playboy Bunnies, who in 1973, at the New York Playboy Club, find themselves uplifted by the rise of feminism, haunted by the GoodBar murder and conflicted about their jobs as sex symbols, while they bond in humor and compassion over the course of one evening.

Mixed Blood Theatre presents the World Premiere of ANIMATE by Ken LaZebnik, performed at Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, September 17-26, 2021.

On the 22nd of June the music video directed by award-winning writer/director Maj Jukic will be released to accompany the single.

The Guthrie Theater announced it will present a one-night-only virtual benefit on Friday, June 25 at 7 p.m. CDT, featuring a concert by Tony and Grammy winner Leslie Odom, Jr. with beloved local actor Regina Marie Williams as emcee.

MN Black Theatre Circle, in partnership with the Guthrie Theater, will present Blackness Is…, a theater-inspired arts festival to be streamed May 21–22 at 7:30 p.m. and May 23 at 7 p.m. CDT. Despite a tumultuous fiscal year that ended on August 31, 2020, Board Chair James L. Chosy, Artistic Director Joseph Haj and Managing Director James Haskins reported that the theater remains financially stable, engaged in critical work and hopeful for the future.

Theater Latté Da announced today THE GHOSTLIGHT SERIES, five virtual cabarets launching January 2021. The virtual cabaret series will feature more than 40 Minnesota artists showcasing stories and songs delivered monthly beginning January and running through July 2021.
