Pillsbury House Theatre presents the World Premiere of PA'S HAT: LIBERIAN LEGACY by Cori Thomas and directed by Marion McClinton. The cast features Ansa Akyea, Namir Smallwood, Regina Marie Williams, and Bruce A. Young. Performances run Wednesdays through Sundays, May 28, 2010 through June 27, 2010. Tickets are $10 - $20. Performances take place on the Pillsbury House Theatre Mainstage at 3501 Chicago Avenue South in Minneapolis.

Four-time Grammy award winner Dianne Reeves will headline the 16th Annual Penumbra Jazz Jam, presented by Target, on Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. at The Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant. Featuring Master of Ceremony T. Mychael Rambo, the fundraiser will include a special appearance by Dennis W. Spears and Sanford Moore. Guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner by Dakota Chef Jack Riebel. All proceeds from the evening's silent and live auctions will benefit Penumbra's Summer Institute Scholarship Fund. Bellamy Balcony seats are $125 per person. Only a few remain. The Guthrie Theater today announced that film and television actress Gretchen Egolf will play Blanche DuBois, joining the previously announced Ricardo Antonio Chavira (Stanley Kowalski) and Stacia Rice (Stella Kowalski), in the Theater's summer production of Tennessee Williams' classic American play A Streetcar Named Desire.
