Lewin Productions will present private, by-invitation only industry presentations of Going Bacharach: The Songs of an Icon, a new revue created by Will Friedwald, Adrian Galante, Tedd Firth and Jack Lewin, and directed by Bill Castellino.

At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this weekend, Broadway performer Darren Criss took the stage during a Richard Sherman tribute panel to perform I Wanna Be Like You from The Jungle Book. The song, written by The Sherman Brothers, was originally performed by Louis Prima in the 1967 animated classic.

June L. Walker Rogers, Broadway singer, dancer, and comedienne, who appeared on television and authored thirteen published plays and musicals, died on Monday, July 8th, at her home in Westport, CT. She was 97.

The annual Spring Festival has become an much-anticipated event for the Philadelphia Ballet and their patrons. Held for the fifth time, this year, at Board Chairman David F. Hoffman's Red Rose Farm the Villanova suburb of Philadelphia, the intimate, outdoor setting showcased three pieces by the ballet and two by the Philadelphia Ballet School's students along with a VIP reception and followed by a dinner.

The Novello Orchestra will present two classic Disney films in concert this summer, Beauty and the Beast and The Jungle Book will be performed live to film as part of Wimbledon Childrens Festival. Beauty and the Beast will take place on 10th August, with showings at 3pm and 7pm and The Jungle Book the following day on the 11th August, with showings at 10am and 3pm.

Jumpin' Jehovah! The Jive Aces surely jump for joy and jump into their music, determined to divert you and entertain with energy to the max. Once again, Birdland booked a band devoted to reviving music from the past, with The Jive Aces decidedly honoring the styles and songs of some stars of old on their April 4th show.

Lizzy & the Triggermen, a 10-piece jazz band helmed by Lizzy Shapiro, delights in infusing swing era music with a modern sound – “Duke Ellington meets Amy Winehouse,” as Shapiro describes it.
