HBO and BBC present His Dark Materials, a new original series based on the global bestsellers, starring Dafne Keen, James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson and Lin-Manuel Miranda. His Dark Materials premieres Monday, November 4 on HBO.

The Booth Theatre was the place to be last night, as a new kind of show improved its way to the Broadway stage. A blend of hip-hop, improvisational theater, music, and vocal stylings, Freestyle Love Supreme celebrated its opening night, joined by special guests Daveed Diggs, Wayne Brady, Christopger Jackson, James Monroe Igleheart, and of course, Lin-Manuel Miranda.

National Geographic, with Imagine Television Studios and Fox 21 Television Studios, announced today that Tony®-, Emmy®- and Grammy® Award-winning Cynthia Erivo (“Harriet,” Broadway's “The Color Purple”) will star as Aretha Franklin in the next installment of the Emmy-winning global anthology series Genius: Aretha. This upcoming season will be the first-ever, definitive and only authorized scripted limited series on the life of the universally acclaimed Queen of Soul. Filming will start this November for a spring 2020 premiere on National Geographic channels in 172 countries and 43 languages.

With its moniker giving a nod to John Coltrane's 'A Love Supreme,' the fast and funny improv hip-hop show created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tommy Kail and Anthony Veneziale started playing gigs around town way back during Broadway's pre-rap era, leading to an Off-Broadway production last season that has more or less transferred to the Booth Theatre.

A blend of hip-hop, improvisational theater, music, and vocal stylings, Freestyle Love Supreme opened just last night, October 2 at the Booth Theatre.

HAMILTON recently opened at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton and will continue to play through October 20. When a show receives as much hype as HAMILTON has, it can seem almost a letdown compared to its reputation. However, HAMILTON is truly a modern masterpiece with tremendous artistry, subtlety, and nuance.

Producer Jeffery Seller and Broadway In Indianapolis announced today that single tickets for HAMILTON will go on sale to the public Thursday, October 17 at 10:00 AM ET. Tickets will be available in-person at the Old National Centre Box Office and online at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets will be available for performances December 10-29, 2019.

FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME, a blend of hip-hop, improvisational theater, music, and vocal stylings, opens on Broadway tonight!

Today, producer Jeffrey Seller announced that the national tour of HAMILTON will return to The Smith Center for the Performing Arts as part of the 2020-2021 Broadway Las Vegas Series. Dates for the return Las Vegas engagement of HAMILTON will be announced, along with the rest of the 2020-21 Broadway Las Vegas Series, in January 2020.

Alright, alright! FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME is currently in previews at the Booth Theatre, 222 W. 45th Street. For the first time on Broadway, this strictly limited engagement, produced by Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jenny Steingart and Jon Steingart, and Jill Furman, will feature special guests at select performances that include Christopher Jackson, James Monroe Iglehart, Wayne Brady, Daveed Diggs, and Miranda.
