WP Theater (formerly known as Women's Project Theater), under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty and Managing Director Michael Sag, is thrilled to announce the lineup for the second biennial Pipeline Festival, showcasing the work of the celebrated WP Lab residency for playwrights, directors and producers from March 29 - April 28 at WP Theater (2162 Broadway & 76th Street.)

Orlando Shakespeare Theater (Orlando Shakes) in Partnership with UCF is seeking new full-length plays to be featured in PlayFest presented by Harriett's Charitable Trust. Past PlayFest plays have dealt with issues of racism, autism, gender, Alzheimer's, immigration, etc. While Shakespeare and classical productions deal with "timeless issues," PlayFest favors new plays that confront modern "issues of our times."

WP Theater has announced that it is now taking applications for its 2018-2020 Lab. WP Theater is looking for female-identified or trans playwrights, directors, and producers who crave an artistic home, professional support, and the resources to launch them into the next phase of their careers to join the 2018-2020 WP Lab. The two-year residency, which culminates with the biennial WP Pipeline Festival, is currently taking applications through March 1, 2018.

The Public Theater will begin previews for the MOBILE UNIT's TWELFTH NIGHT on Monday, April 24. Directed by Saheem Ali, the sit-down run of Twelfth Night follows a free three-week tour to the five boroughs bringing Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts.

The Theatre Company at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) has announced dates and details for the 2017 Colorado New Play Summit.
