The Playbillies have released a cover of the 'Elephant Love Medley' from Moulin Rouge in collaboration with many of their friends from the Broadway community. 

Notables from President Bill Clinton and Whoopi Goldberg to musicians Wynton Marsalis and Sting joined together on Sunday, Jan 24th to “Save Birdland”.  During the fundraising concert the Broadway community was treated to “All That Jazz” starring the original Velmas of Chicago, Chita Rivera and Bebe Neuwirth.

The fundraising campaign for Birdland Jazz Club will conclude on January 24th with a free streaming concert titled Save Birdland: A Celebration of Music, History and Community.

New York Theatre Barn will host a free live stream of its New Works Series on Wednesday, January 20th, 2021 at 7PM EDT, featuring excerpts from the new musicals Love In Hate Nation and Experience Marianas. The live 1-hour presentation will also feature a conversation with the writers and creative team. 

New York Theatre Barn will continue to host bi-monthly free live streams of its New Works Series on select Wednesday evenings at 7PM. Available on New York Theatre Barn’s YouTube channel and Broadway on Demand, each installment of the live 1-hour series includes excerpts from two new musicals and a conversation with the writers and creative team.

Burris, a graduate of SUNY at Geneseo, joined the Whole Artist Management team assisting owner, Rich Martino and managing partner, Mike Cruz in January after completing an internship at Binder Casting.

Today's episode features Broadway veteran Lauren Marcus, who chats about her marriage to composer Joe Iconis, her path from Chicago suburbs to stage,  and how she eventually found her place in the New York theatre scene. '[After I graduated from college], I didn't quite understand who I was as a person or a type- I'm not even sure that I do now. I think that's something that now I'm just like, 'I am what I am and I don't want to be put in any sort of box!' I kept trying to fit into these boxes that didn't fit at all,' she says.
