TheaterWorksUSA's production of THE POUT-POUT FISH will open at The Colony Theatre in Burbank, CA on September 22. Performances run through October 2, before the company takes off on a 3-month North American tour.

Chadae Nichol will helm the production as director.

The newest production in SDSU’s New Musical Initiative, Postcard American Town will have its world premiere from April 29 – May 5, 2022. Written by Lynne Shankel and Crystal Skillman, this world premiere production will be directed by Professor Stephen Brotebeck, and music directed by Professor Robert Meffe from the School of Theatre, Television, and Film. 

SDSU's Musical Theatre program presents Steel Pier from December 2 – 7, 2021. Steel Pier marks the first SDSU musical presented to in-person audiences since the pandemic began two years ago.

A Christmas Carol returns to Cygnet Theatre for its seventh season of cheer. It has become a true holiday favorite, with San Diegans making Scrooge, the Spirits, and the Cratchit family part of their holiday tradition. This year the show features the same warm story of hope and redemption, along with new cast members!

Featuring over one hundred San Diego State University students, Chess: In Concert will be available for digital streaming from December 3 – 6, 2020. Chess is written by Tim Rice, Benny Andersson, and Björn Ulvaeus. 

Orpheus, Eurydice, a trouble-making horse and Death herself converge in a very funny and irreverent reimagining of the Greek myth by surrealist poet, playwright and filmmaker Jean Cocteau. Deaf West Theatre views Cocteau's whimsical, magical and highly visual play, first performed in 1926, through a unique lens: translated from the French into Spoken English by John Savacool, into American Sign Language by Andrew Moore, and slated for a run at the True Colors Festival in Tokyo, Japan at the end of April. Deena Selenow directs Orphée in a visiting production at the Odyssey Theatre, opening March 13 for a four-week run through April 5. Three low-priced previews are set for March 8, March 11 and March 12.

Actors Co-op Theatre Company's well-received production of the Los Angeles premiere and now Ovation Recommended production of MIRACLE ON 34th STREET: A Live Musical Radio Play, running through December 15, has added two Saturday matinees December 7 at 2:30 pm and December 14 at 2:30 pm.

Miracle on 34th Street: A Live Musical Radio Play, adapted from the 1947 Lux Radio Broadcast by Lance Arthur Smith, original songs and arrangements by Jon Lorenz, directed by Joseph Leo Bwarie, with musical direction by Anthony Lucca, choreography by Anna Aimee White and produced by Kyle Montgomery, will have its Los Angeles debut this Friday, November 1 at Actors Co-op's David Schall Theatre. The musical runs Friday, November 1, 2019 - Sunday, December 15, 2019.

It has become a true holiday favorite, with San Diegans making Scrooge, the Spirits, and the Cratchit family part of their holiday tradition. And for the first time, Cygnet Theatre is pleased to add a sensory friendly performance to the schedule. The family-friendly musical runs November 27 - December 29 at Cygnet Theatre in Old Town. Opening Night for Media is Saturday, November 30 at 8:00pm.

Not only does 2017 mark Cygnet's 15th Season, it includes another significant milestone. A Christmas Carol will be the theatre's 100th production since it's founding in 2003. What better way to celebrate than with the show that continues to grow in popularity as a favorite holiday tradition in San Diego.

Catty commentary, witty references, glam, and some spirited music and choreography make The Legend of Georgia McBride a flamboyantly fun comedy.

Episode Six: Catch a glimpse into Circle Theatre's KING O' THE MOON, as actor, Kyle Montgomery, takes you behind-the-scenes! IT'S THE DAY OF THE SHOW, Y'ALL!!! The playwright, Tom Dudzick, flew in to see the completion of his trilogy and to hold a talk-back afterwards. TAKE A LOOK AT OPENING NIGHT!!!

The Pazinski family returns to Circle's stage in King O' the Moon by Tom Dudzick, the second play in a trilogy inspired by the author's childhood. Circle produced Dudzick's Over the Tavern in 2005 and The Last Mass at St. Casimir's in 2007.  Ten years after Over the Tavern, this sequel takes place during the rebellious '60's as Apollo 11 is on its voyage to the moon. The Pazinski's come together as their lives seem to fall apart. Prior knowledge of this working-class family is not a prerequisite to appreciate the hilarious and heartfelt end to the three part series at Circle.
