Old School Square announces the 2017-18 Season of performances, lectures, exhibits, classes and workshops.

'Joan Crawford in....FLESH & BLOOD!' will receive industry readings on May 25th, starring Leslie Becker and James Moye.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series has announced that Broadway performers Aisha de Haas and Capathia Jenkins will return in tandem with pianist/singer/musical director Billy Stritch in "Haven't We Met?"

As previously announced, Feinstein's/54 Below will present the 'full-bodied' Mademoiselle Colombe, by Michael Valenti (Oh, Brother), Edwin Dulchin and Albert Harris, starring Samantha Massell (Fiddler on the Roof, La Boheme) as the beautiful and talented young Colombe.

A cast of award winning performers, friends and colleagues will gather to pay tribute to the life and career of Tony Award winning Broadway legend Tammy Grimes in The Ziegfeld Society's The Unsinkable Tammy Grimes: A Musical Life in Revue, featuring reminiscences and musical numbers from Miss Grimes iconic Broadway musicals. The event will take place on Saturday, April 29th at 3:30 pm at Lang Concert Hall (69th Street between Park and Lexington).

It's a celebration! The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, honors its very own Producing Artistic Director James Morgan, on his 20th anniversary in that position with a Special Spring Concert "Fun-Raiser."

At the most recent BROADWAY BY THE YEAR presentation on March 27, at its usual home of the Town Hall, the 1940s was the sent-up decade from which the evening's performers sang. At a time in the country that currently bears striking and cryptic similarity to that grim period of global history, the resonance of the evening's selections rang eerily. Additionally, they also demonstrated how little the relationship between culture and society has changed over the last seven decades.

???????Karen Ziemba and Klea Blackhurst headline THE 32nd ANNUAL ALEC WILDER TRIBUTE CONCERT presented by The Friends of Alec Wilder at Feinstein's/54 Below on Saturday, April 8 at 9:30pm.

This will be the fifteenth year in a row in which producer Scott Siegel is presenting an all-star cast singing famous Broadway show tunes the way they were originally performed on the Great White Way: without amplification!

It's a celebration! Liz Rubino, will return to the NY cabaret stage for one more show at the well known establishment, Don't Tell Mama, in 'Make Yourself Comfortable' Saturday, April 8th @ 7:00 p.m.

Tony Award Honoree Ben Davis (Violet, A Little Night Music, La Boheme), Lesli Margherita (Matilda, Dames at Sea), Kendrick Jones (Shuffle Along, The Scottsboro Boys) & Drama Desk Award-nominee Daniel Reichard (Original Cast of Jersey Boys) will join previously announced Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba (Bullets Over Broadway, Curtains, Contact), multi-award winning Nightclub star Klea Blackhurst & Steve 'The Whistler' Herbst at Town Hall's Broadway by the Year Series on Monday, March 27 at 8pm, 'The Broadway Musicals of the 1940s,' which will highlight the music of Rodgers & Hammerstein, Kurt Weill & Leonard Bernstein.

Jamie deRoy's Friar Membership and her long running Jamie deRoy & friends Variety Show are about the same age.  Jamie became a member in 1988 along with Liza Minnelli, Joan Rivers and Brooke Shields.  Jamie brought this edition of the show to the Friars Club last night and the Frank Sinatra Dining Room was filled with Friars and Jamie's friends as they dined and were entertained by some of the best in the business.

The last remaining tickets are on sale for the desert's most anticipated annual star-studded concert event, Michael Childer's 'One Night Only', benefiting Jewish Family Services Of The Desert (JFS), to be held Thursday, April 20, 2017 at The McCallum Theatre. This 10th season's theme is 'Hello Jerry' and Michael and cast pay tribute to the incomparable composer Jerry Herman, bringing to the stage music form his popular musicals including Mame, Mack and Mabel, Grand Tour, La Cage Aux Folles and, of course, Hello Dolly. 'Hello Jerry' is directed by Jason Graae with musical direction by Christopher Marlowe. I had the opportunity to sit down with Michael Childer's to talk about this special tenth anniversary production, and more. Here are a few excerpts from that conversation …

Joining Massell are KLea Blackhurst (Merman's Apprentice, The Nutty Professor, Bingo) as Madame Alexandra (a role originated by Tammy Grimes), Ben McHugh (Mamma Mia, Sleep No More, Tokio Confidential) and Jason Pintar (Oh, Brother!) as Deschamps. Also joining the ensemble is Shawn Verrier (Charlie and Algernon).

This weekend, February 10 and 11 at 7:30 PM, conductor Randall Craig Fleischer leads guest vocalists Debbie Gravitte, KLea Blackhurst, Ron Raines, Jason Graae, Scott Coulter, and John Boswell in a performance of 'Jerry Herman: The Broadway Legacy Concert'.
