TheatreWorks New Milford will present the world premiere of Upstate, written and directed by Emmy© Award-winner Dorothy Lyman from May 2nd to 24th. Learn more about the show here!

The play centers around three generations of women who meet upstate over President’s Day weekend to decide the fate of their family farm and its matriarch.

On Friday, June 7, I had the pleasure of seeing ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST at the Ridgefield Theater Barn in Ridgefield, CT.  This brilliantly written and phenomenally performed dark drama is based on the novel by Ken Kesey and adapted for the stage by Dale Wasserman.  Director Kevin Sosbe brings the best out in this strong cast of actors and actresses whose talents blend together well, creating a show that excels in generating intense feeling and emotion from the captivated audience. 

In the airless unfunny farm over which dour Nurse Ratched presides, McMurphy appears to foment anarchy. Yet, given the oppressive circumstances, the only thing subversive in his intention is to restore a sense of dignity and free will to those he views as the downtrodden -- captives of a rigged system that is oblivious to their best interests.

On May 5, TheatreWorks New Milford will premiere George Orwell's satire, Animal Farm, adapted by Ian Wooldridge. 

TheatreWorks New Milford has announced their 50th Anniversary 2017 season which includes five main-stage shows, five free staged readings, and plans for their ongoing TheatreWorks Kids (TW Kids) program.

Tonight, April 10, The Sherman Playhouse kicks off its 2015 theatrical season with George Orwell's dystopian classic '1984,' adapted for the stage by Robert Owens, Wilton E. Hall, Jr., and William A. Miles, Jr. The curtain rises at 8:00 p.m. on a four-week run.
