Murphey as celebrity chef James Beard; Five Guys Named Moe, an exuberant musical overflowing with hit songs by R&B pioneer Louis Jordan; the return of our Unexpected Play Festival; and a jazz concert series from renowned trumpeter and vocalist Joe Gransden with special guest singers. The Grammy-nominated Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, which captures the infectious fun of big band music, will perform at the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) on Thursday, April 5 at 8:00pm. Jazz Times called the Los Angeles-based band, with a 32-year history, "one of current jazz's most vital large ensemble." Co-founder bassist John Clayton is a CSUN alumnus who has gone on to play with superstars such as Michael Jackson, Patti LaBelle and Madonna.

Throughout the course of this moving and well crafted show, Jimmy shares memories about his family and the inspiration behind his poignant song, I Moved a Mountain. The song was written about Jimmy's grandfather and the tremendous impact this inspirational man had on Jimmy's life.

Byron has also performed and worked alongside well-known artists such as Michael John-LaChiusa, Warren Carlyle, Cynthia Erivo, Kenny Rogers, Darren Criss, Keala Settle, and Yolanda Adams.
