Elttaes Productions will present private developmental work session presentations of the new musical AFTERWORDS on Thursday, November 17, and Friday, November 18, 2022, for select industry members. 

For three nights only, from Friday, September 30 through Sunday, October 2, stage and screen performer Jason Gotay (“Gossip Girl,” Evita) brought his breathtaking vocals and gift of storytelling to the Minetta Lane Theatre in a musical narrative about the indelible role that women have played in his life. Two Worlds Entertainment, a twenty first century think-tank committed to provide the local community with theater based educational initiatives, will host Triple Threat: The Audition Experience Workshop with Broadway artists on Sunday September 18th for students in the tri-state area at the Tarrytown Music Hall.

The anthemic rock musical SuperYou by Lourds Lane has announced full casting for the viral sensation’s Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall concert debut on July 20 and 21, 2022. Chris McCarrell (The Lightning Thief) and Tony Award nominee and Astaire Award winner Elizabeth Parkinson (Movin’ Out) complete the cast of Broadway and Off-Broadway stars.

Tickets are now on sale for the Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall concert debut of the viral sensation SuperYou, a new musical by Filipino American composer and writer Lourds Lane and directed by Japanese American director and choreographer JoAnn M. Hunter.

Broadway Sessions, the beloved long running musical theatre variety show will return to The Laurie Beechman Theatre this coming Thursday evening, May 19th.

Paradise Square officially resumed performances last night, April 19, after briefly going dark due to COVID cases within the cast. Joaquina Kalukango gave a speech after last night's performance, where she talked about being grateful to be back on stage.

The new Broadway musical Paradise Square will now resume performances on Tuesday, April 19 at the Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street), rather than Saturday, April 16 as previously announced. The change is due to additional COVID cases within the company.

After previously announcing that performances would resume on Tuesday, April 12, the original new Broadway musical Paradise Square will definitely resume performances on Saturday, April 16, with performances at 2:00 and 8:00 pm at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street). The production, which opened April 3, halted performances on Thursday, April 7 after positive COVID cases were experienced in the company.

Amas Musical Theatre in association with Melissa M Jones/All Awesome LLC, will present an industry reading of SuperYou, a new musical with book, lyrics, music and arrangements from the visionary mind of creator, Lourds Lane at Theatre Row – Theater 2 (410 West 42nd Street) on Thursday, April 21 at 3pm.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Paradise Square principal cast member Chilina Kennedy will miss upcoming preview performances of the production due to testing positive for COVID. She is currently set to return on Saturday, April 2.

Maestra Music, the not-for-profit organization supporting the women and nonbinary musicians in the musical theater industry, held its second annual concert and community event on March 28.
