Shoshana Bean has joined the star-studded line up for Maestra Music’s inaugural concert event, Amplify 2021 on Monday, March 29, 2021. Accompanied virtually by Maestras from around the world, Bean will sing an original song with music, lyrics and orchestrations by Maestra member Lynne Shankel (Allegiance) for the finale of the event.

Maestra Music, the not-for-profit organization supporting the women who make the music in the musical theater industry, hosts their inaugural Spring concert event, Amplify.

Maestra Music will hold its first annual concert event on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 8 pm, with an interactive pre-show beginning at 7 pm, its founder Georgia Stitt announced today. Amplify 2021 will take place virtually, in association with Broadway Unlocked, to raise money and highlight Maestra's programs.

Baryshnikov Arts Center has announced the Digital Spring 2021 season of free online presentations, featuring premieres of new works commissioned by BAC. BAC has continued supporting the development of new work by providing resources for artists to realize their creative visions specifically for online presentation

The Public Theater announced an array of free programming has been added to The Public's digital season. Though its physical stages remain dark, the additional virtual programming will include a bilingual audio adaptation of Romeo y Julieta co-presented with WNYC Studios featuring Lupita Nyong'o and Juan Castano as the star-crossed lovers.

Christopher McIntyre (a?oeSuccessiona??) and Rob Carroll (Black Mass) have joined the cast of this coming Friday's virtual reading of Geoffrey Naufft's NEXT FALL. Mr. McIntyre will play the role of Luke, with Mr. Carroll taking on the character of Butch.

Javier Muñoz (Hamilton), Tony Award nominee Christiane Noll (Ragtime), Erin Leddy (Crossroads), and Brandon Contreras (Almost Famous) will star in this coming Friday's virtual reading of Geoffrey Naufft's NEXT FALL.

The Fisher Center at Bard begins its 20/21 season of virtual works-focusing on healing and transformation in troubled times-with a Live Arts Bard (LAB) commission from 10-time Grammy nominated musician Meshell Ndegeocello's Chapter & Verse: The Gospel of James Baldwin, made in collaboration with acclaimed director Charlotte Brathwaite.

Jackie Burns (If/Then) and Chad Jennings (Wicked) join the previously announced Ben Davis (Dear Evan Hansen) and Kenita Miller (Once On This Island) in Play Reading Fridays' production of Donald Margulies' dark comedy a?oeDinner With Friendsa??, benefiting The Actors Fund. It will be directed by Alison Tanney.

Ben Davis (Dear Evan Hansen), Ali Ewoldt (The Phantom of the Opera), and Kenita Miller (Once On This Island) will star in Play Reading Fridays' production of Donald Margulies' dark comedy a?oeDinner With Friendsa??, benefiting The Actors Fund. It will be directed by Alison Tanney. The role of Gabe will be cast shortly. 

Tony nominee Rob McClure (Mrs. Doubfire, Beetlejuice) continues his #ConducterCam series this week, this time passing his baton to Memphis Youth Symphony's Kalena Bovell. Watch as Rob and  Kalena are joined by Audra McDonald and Brian Stokes Mitchell as they conduct and perform a poem to Ragtime's opening number.
