'America's Sexiest Couple,' the second play of Cape May Stage's 2022 season, will open on July 14, 2022, with a Preview Night on July 13. The laugh-out-loud comedy is the work of Ken Levine, the three-time Emmy Award-winning writer who has been honored for his work on classic comedies such as 'Everybody Loves Raymond,' 'The Simpsons,' 'Cheers,' and more.

Cape May Stage has announced its 34th season as Cape May's premier professional theater. 

Stand up mainstay Mark Riccadonna's STAGE FOR COMEDY, currently a monthly Tuesday night event at The Black Box PAC, is a development series for writers designed to launch new (and under produced) pieces for stage or screen with dynamic script-in-hand performances presented live onstage by professional actors and directors.

Following the successful opening of Season 10 earlier this month, Los Angeles playwright incubator PlayGround-LA has recently announced the prompt for the next Monday Night PlayGround short play staged reading event. Thirty-six Los Angeles writers had just four-and-a-half days to generate their original scripts inspired by the prompt 'WHODUNNIT' as they vie for one of six slots in the second round of this year's Monday Night PlayGround staged reading series, presented live at The Broadwater Second Stage and simulcast online on November 8th at 7pm PT.

TRW Plays, the newly formed play licensing division of Theatrical Rights Worldwide, has announced the addition of Craig Pospisil to its staff. Bringing over 30 years of licensing experience, Craig will serve as Vice-President of TRW Plays working alongside Executive Director, Lysna Marzani.

ANDTheatre Company has announced the 14th Annual 'Eclectic Evening of Shorts,' a benefit for ANDTheatre Co.

Best Medicine Rep, Gaithersburg's professional theater company, has announced that it will return to live production with John Morogiello's dark comedy Variant Strains, running June 4 - 27, 2021, in our space at the Lakeforest Mall. The production will be directed by Stan Levin, and COVID safety protocols will be in place.

The Jersey City Theater Center’s 2021 New Play Festival, part of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance’s 2021 Stages Festival, will present ten new plays about healing from the US, Canada and New Zealand on four consecutive Thursdays, from May 6 to May 27. All shows are at 7:30pm.

The first-ever New Works Virtual Festival kicks off tonight! Every evening from December 5th - 25th of 2020 at 8PM EST/5PM PT, the New Works Virtual Festival will stream video readings of 20 new scripts of non-musical pieces (19 plays, 1 teleplay) as well as an 21st (a 'Christmas Special') featuring the work of a diverse group of writers and all-star cast members.
