WinterFest 2020 is EST/LA's annual 4-week festival of play readings and projects.  Come and see new plays as they are being developed.

The Black Box New Play Festival is Gallery Players' signature festival of new works by both new and established playwrights, featuring world premieres of new comedies and dramas. Now in its 23rd year, the festival will premiere 18 new plays over the course of three weekends. The festival opens Thursday, January 9 and runs through January 26, with a new collection of plays presented each week. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30PM, and Sundays at 3PM. There will be a talk back with the playwrights directly after the Sunday matinees.

The Stray Kats Theatre Company presents the 3rd Annual 'Still Crazy After All These Years!" festival of one-act plays celebrating the lives of today's senior citizens; healthier, more active and engaged than ever before. The Newtown Festival consists of eight new one-act plays culled from over 130 submissions, showing passionate, lively seniors whose lives have taken interesting new twists and turns.

Moving On: The 2019 One Acts features a mix of established playwrights and exciting, emerging younger talent. Here's the program:

Google Developer Advocate Ben Morss and New Jersey Deputy District Attorney Kenneth Levine will delve into questions of internet privacy, cybersecurity, and how much your mobile phone really knows about you at the Luna Stage World Premiere of Christina Gorman's Roan @ The Gates. The two guests will take the stage following two performances: Saturday, February 9 at 8pm and Sunday, February 17 at 3pm.

Developing new voices in theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA draws from a wealth of talent, which includes NYFA, NEA, Guggenheim, Obie, Emmy and Writers Guild Award winners. Launchpad offers seven full-length plays, and four short plays. This series is a showcase of plays in long-term development from EST/LA's Playwrights Unit and New West playwrights.

The Pittsburgh New Works Festival (PNWF) has announced its line-up for their 28th season of presenting world premiere plays to Pittsburgh audiences. The 2018 Festival includes 18 new plays presented by one of 18 Pittsburgh-region theater companies.

Producer Michael Goldstein and Host and Moderator Rabbi Ed Feinstein bring six ten-minute comedies and dramas to Valley Beth Shalom on Thursday, May 17th, 2018 at 7:30pm. The plays are all inspired by the theme of Jewish Love and Marriage and admission is FREE for the entire community.

This world premiere of playwright Ken Levine's GOING... GOING... GONE! has the benefit of a strong quartet of actors and sure-handed direction at a swift pace. Witty quips and snappy one-liners populate the rapid repartee of the baseball reporters in a sky-high reporters' box. If the purpose to duplicate the drudgery of sitting through 18-19 innings of a baseball game was intentional, Levine's script certainly succeeds.

Abingdon Theatre Company launches its 2015-2016 Season of new plays beginning this fall with the world premiere of CUT THROAT by JB Reich.
