Beginning Tuesday, April 5, Jewelle Blackman will summon spring eight times a week as Persephone in Hadestown at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre.

Tony-nominee Amber Gray, who originated the role of Persephone in Hadestown, will return to the musical for Friday night's performance at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

When the chips are down at Hadestown, it's swings to the rescue! Tonight, actor Timothy Oliver Reid joined the sisterhood of The Fates when he went on as part of the infamous trio at tonight's performance.

Lana Gordon will play the role of Persephone in Hadestown, the winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, starting Tuesday, February 22 at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre. Gordon previously starred on Broadway as Velma Kelly in Chicago and was an original cast member in The Lion King and is currently the Persephone alternate for Amber Gray, who originated the role, and as previously announced will play her final performance in Hadestown on Saturday evening, February 19.

Julia Murney, who is known for originating the role of Queenie in Andrew Lippa's 'The Wild Party' and as Elphaba on Broadway in Wicked, will join Johanna Telander's 'Kalevala: The Musical' Concept Album cast as Louhi, the Northern witch.

Highly anticipated Kalevala the Musical Concept Album’s recording dates continue. This time the composer brings Finnish flair by adding Kantele, and co-producer Kristi Roosmaa steps into the studio to lay down Mother Ether’s track along with Amanda Yachechak, lending her voice to one of the Spirits.

Lead Producer Quentin Garzón and Co-Producer Kristi Roosmaa will release a star-studded original concept album for Johanna Telander's 'Kalevala: The Musical,' adapted from the national epic poem of Finland in August 2021. The creative team is joined by orchestrator Marko Hilpo and brand marketing director Valev Laube of The VL Studios.

Tony Award-winner Alice Ripley and Broadway and West End star Ramin Karimloo will lead the studio cast of the upcoming concept album of Kalevala The Musical.

On this day in 2019, Broadway went way down with Anais Mitchell's acclaimed new musical, Hadestown, starring Outer Critics Circle Award nominee Reeve Carney, Tony Award winner André De Shields, Tony Award nominee Amber Gray, two-time Tony Award nominee Eva Noblezada, and Tony Award nominee Patrick Page.
