When the pandemic hit in early 2020, OpenStage Theatre & Company began its Fight for Art, Culture and Community and to stay alive and thrive. Now OpenStage will once again bring up the curtain for its 49th Season with four Essential and two etcetera productions.

PCS's JAW New Play Festival Returns July 23-25

Portland Center Stage's annual JAW New Play Festival will bring audiences back into The Armory for live theater once again, on July 23-25, for readings of four new scripts, along with performances from local artists, classes, and more. JAW events are free and will be available to watch in-person or online.
County Players Will Reopen With PRIDE AND PREJUDICE in July

The company will reopen the theater with the July 2021 production of the romantic comedy “Pride and Prejudice” by Kate Hamill, based on the novel by Jane Austen. County Players will also continue the well-received CP2 Readers Theater Series with three mini-festivals.

“Annapurna” is the name of a massif in the Himalaya mountain range, the Hindu goddess of nourishment and the next play in the reimagined and fully digital Syracuse Stage 2020/2021 season. Written by Sharr White and directed by Stage artistic director Robert Hupp, “Annapurna” is a carefully balanced blend of sharp comedy and surprisingly tender drama that draws inspiration from both meanings of its title.

The Hangar Theatre has announced that Shirley Serotsky has been named Artistic Director. Serotsky served as the Hangar Theatre Associate Artistic Director and Education Director from September 2019 to October 2020, and as Interim Artistic Director from October 2020 to the present.
