New Radio Play THE TEMPEST Launches Next Month

West End vets team up with Broadway and Hollywood stalwarts in an all-free radio play production of Shakespeare's The Tempest, produced by Jersey City's Shakespeare@. Adapted and directed by Artistic Director Sean Hagerty, with original music and sound design, the first episode of The Tempest launches Thursday, October 1st at 7PM and is free to download and stream.

Shakespeare@home Presents Final Episode Of RICHARD II This Sunday

Shakespeare@ Home, the new audio-play series' third and final episode of Richard II will be available for free streaming and downloading on Sunday, July 19th at 7PM. Artistic Director Sean Hagerty of Shakespeare@ has created this new, all-free 'radio play' season, responding to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Drew Gasparini Releases New Single 'On The Edge' Featuring Bonnie Milligan

Today it was announced that composer Drew Gasparini released the second single off his upcoming album, We Aren't Kids Anymore (Original Studio Cast). The new song is called a?oeOn The Edgea?? and features lead vocals by Bonnie Milligan (Head Over Heels). The song expresses the cyclical nature of trying to achieve your dreams as an artist a?" how every step of life, or every new piece of art, feels like you are on the edge of breaking out over and over again.

Today it was announced that composer Drew Gasparini released the first single off his upcoming album, We Aren't Kids Anymore (Original Studio Cast). The new song is called a?oeWhen I Goa?? and is the finale on the full-length album. The song release is also accompanied by a new music video, and features the full album cast: Nicholas Christopher (Hamilton), Lilli Cooper (Tootsie), Raymond J. Lee (Soft Power), Bonnie Milligan (Head Over Heels) and Colton Ryan (Girl from the North Country).

Broadway favorite Krysta Rodriguez made her long-awaited Feinstein's/54 Below solo debut this fall, and we're getting a look at one of the concert's standout songs: the 'Beyvita' medley. Krysta makes lemonade out of lemons after getting some unexpected feedback from audition for an international production of Evita. The medley mashes up various Beyoncé and Destiny's Child songs with songs from the musical Evita. Check out the video to see the unique mashup!

Casting Announced for Lonny Price-Helmed THE LOUDER WE GET at Theatre Calgary

Theatre Calgary's Artistic Director Stafford Arima (Allegiance, Broadway; Carrie, Off-Broadway revival; Altar Boyz, Off-Broadway), along with Solo Productions' Mary Young Leckie (Maudie, Mary's Wedding), have just announced the creative team and casting for The Louder We Get, based on the true story of Marc Hall, with book by Kent Staines, lyrics by Akiva Romer-Segal, and music by Colleen Dauncey.

Laura Benanti To Host Broadway Stands Up For Freedom Gala For ACLU

Tony Award-winning actress LAURA BENANTI (My Fair Lady) has been announced to host and perform at the 17th annual BROADWAY STANDS UP FOR FREEDOM concert on Monday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. at The Town Hall in New York City (123 W. 43 St.) Also joining the previously announced line-up of stars will be performers ALYSHA UMPHRESS (On The Town), KIM BLANCK (Octet) and MILI DIAZ (Wicked).  

Christopher Newport University's Ferguson Center For The Arts Presents The World Premiere Of WE AREN'T KIDS ANYMORE

Led by a New York-based creative team helmed by director/choreographer Ilana Ransom Toeplitz, WE AREN'T KIDS ANYMORE, a new song cycle by Drew Gasparini will premiere at Christopher Newport University's Ferguson Center for the Arts for two performances August 17 and 18, 2019 showcasing a cast of CNU musical theatre students. Professor Colin Ruffer, who currently leads the musical theatre program at CNU, serves as music director. The production features music supervision by Justin Goldner, lighting design by Andrew F. Griffin, and is presented in partnership with Erica Rotstein.
