Florida Repertory Theatre's 25th anniversary season continues with a brand-new comedy of family errors, “Incident at our Lady of Perpetual Help” by Katie Forgette. The uproarious, comedy invites audiences to relive one family's most embarrassing moment – hilariously retold by Linda O'Shea, the oldest daughter in a staunchly Catholic household.

Florida Repertory Theatre's production of 'Buddy: the Buddy Holly Story' is now extended to April 24th in the Historic Arcade Theatre. 'Buddy' opened to critical acclaim on March 18th, and has been breaking box office records and garnering praise from critics and audiences alike.

Directed by Florida Rep's Associate Artistic Director, Jason Parrish, Florida Repertory Theatre's production of BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY tells the story of the iconic rock 'n' roll sensation, Buddy Holly, and how he changed the face of popular music sixty years ago. 

Florida Repertory Theatre’s 2021-2022 Season continues the rock ‘n’ roll sensation, “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story” by Alan Janes. The musical tells the story of Buddy’s rise to stardom and how he transformed popular music almost overnight and plays in the Historic Arcade Theatre from March 18 to April 13. Mark Stuart Dance Theatre (MSDT) will celebrate their 10th anniversary gala, honoring 10 years of art inspiring change, on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 5pm at New York Live Arts Theater (219 W 19th St).  The gala will include a performance of When Change Comes: A Movement Forward, which is playing a limited tour in September of 2018.  Featuring special performances from Abigail Breslin (Academy Award nominee, Little Miss Sunshine), "American Idol" alum Jerome Bell, and singer/songwriter Matt Cusson (John Lennon Songwriting Award winner, 'One of Those Nights' & 'Leaving L.A.'), and more, this one-night event marks a decade of MSDT's physically stunning and emotionally compelling storytelling making bold statements about our society.  A portion of the proceeds from the Gala will go directly to benefit March for Our Lives.

"Only tame birds feel longing. Wild birds fly."  Thus muses Ragnar, a recently retired small-town school principal, as he looks back on the things he never did, and tries to sort out what's ahead in this charming and wonderfully humorous play, mixing comedy, farce, drama, and an element of surprise.  Ragnar's vices are fine cigars and the occasional glass of whiskey.  Which brings him into conflict with his wife Anneli, who is trying to get him to lead a healthy life.  But is life without passion any kind of life at all?  Mix in the widowed town pastor Lars (Ragnar's faithful old friend), along with Lars daughter Monika, who shows up at the door in the midst of a possible divorce, and passions once again permeate the household.

Moses, continues its 44th season with an exhilarating new play, Lombardi, focusing on the life of legendary football coach, Vince Lombardi. Kentucky Opera brings their premiere of Jake Heggie's Dead Man Walking to Louisville audiences this week. And composer Heggie was also in town to celebrate this production, one of more than 60 mounted of this work around the world since its 2000 premiere.
