The most award-winning musical of the 2022-2023 season, SOME LIKE IT HOT has announced a closing date at Broadway’s Shubert Theatre before it launches a national tour and West End production.

John J. Presley returns with a new album ‘Chaos and Calypso.' Following a period of activity in May of this year, John broke a three-year hiatus with the brooding, hypnotic single ‘Sinnerman’ (a collaboration with friend Laura-Marty Carter from Blood Red Shoes), and live shows with Radiohead’s Philip Selway and Gaz Coombes (Supergrass).

There is a lot that works here; an obvious and careful attention to detail being one. The meticulous recreation of James Brown's stage catsuit, event posters and haircuts feels thoughtful.  The three-day music festival that featured James Brown, Miriam Makeba and Celia Cruz showcases some brilliant music, with a high energy mix of afrobeat and  American funk.

Sometimes when you travel, the trip is long and boring. There are crying babies, you sit next to someone who snores, and/or you’re lonely. This was not the case with Broadway World’s favorite MC and guest writer Blake Woodson during his recent trip to Denver. Blake had the privilege to sit next to Arkansas Concert Royalty Dennis Stone and decided to seize the moment by getting to know him better.
