The Hollywood Film Awards announced today that Oscar-winning actress, producer, and activist Charlize Theron will receive the coveted “Hollywood Career Achievement Award” at the 23rd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards.” Considered a true artist, Theron has been known throughout her career to fully transform into the characters she portrays, impressing critics and audiences alike with her ability to honestly and authentically convey their stories with heart and integrity. She carries this same passion with her behind the camera and beyond, using her voice to speak for others, especially those in need in her home country of South Africa. As busy as ever, this year Theron returns to the screen for her starring role in the highly anticipated film “Bombshell” alongside Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie, where she plays real life journalist Megyn Kelly. The “Hollywood Film Awards,” hosted by actor and comedian Rob Riggle, will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA.

ABC Entertainment and Banijay Studios North America announced today that actor Adam Scott is set to host “Don't” on ABC. Executive produced by Ryan Reynolds, “Don't” is a comedic physical game show that offers contestants the opportunity to team up with their family and friends for the chance to win a cash prize of up to $100,000 by tackling hilarious tasks each with the simple rule of “DON'T.” In each episode, members of the four-person team will strive to accomplish various challenges, such as “Don't Laugh,” “Don't Blink” or “Don't Wet Your Pants,” as they work together to build their bank.

Productivity Media Inc and Oakhurst Entertainment announced today that Aubrey Plaza, Christopher Abbott and Sarah Gadon are set to join the cast of the upcoming thriller BLACK BEAR, directed by Lawrence Michael Levine. Penned by Levine, the film will be produced by Tandem Pictures' Julie Christeas and Jonathan Blitstein, Richard J Bosner (Blue Creek Pictures), Sophia Takal and Oakhurst's Marina Grasic and Jai Khanna. Productivity will finance the film. Shooting is underway in the Adirondack Mountains in Long Lake, NY.

According to Variety, actor Joel Edgerton has joined the cast of Amazon's forthcoming series from Barry Jenkins, titled UNDERGROUND RAILROAD. Set to write and direct is Oscar winner Barry Jenkins (Moonlight), with the series slated to be executive produced by Pastel (Moonlight) and Brad Pitt's Plan B (Moonlight, 12 Years a Slave).

CBS All Access announced today that Alison Pill ('The Newsroom'), Harry Treadaway ('Penny Dreadful') and Isa Briones ('American Crime Story: Versace') were cast as series regulars alongside Sir Patrick Stewart in its upcoming untitled 'Star Trek' series that will explore the next chapter of Jean-Luc Picard. Today, dick clark productions and ABC announced one of the world's best-selling pop music icons, Christina Aguilera, will perform for a live audience of more than one million people just minutes before the ball drops on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2019." Aguilera last performed on the show in 2007, and this year she will be joined by Bastille, Dan + Shay and New Kids On The Block in the hours leading up to the 2019 countdown. This marks multiplatinum artists Dan + Shay's first appearance on the show, and Bastille's second, while pop super group New Kids On The Block will take the New Year's Rockin' Eve stage for the second time-having last performed in 2011 with Backstreet Boys. America's biggest celebration of the year will take place on MONDAY, DEC. 31, beginning at 8:00 p.m. EST on the ABC Television Network. Additional performers will be announced soon.

Ballet star Sergei Polunin will present a new mixed programme at the London Palladium from 28 May to 1 June 2019. The programme will feature an international cast and creative team, including Polunin himself. The Box Office will open at 10.00am on Friday 14 December. The writers are nominated for their work in the 30-minute Comedy, 60-minute Drama, Children's Teleplay, Independent Feature Film, Drama Feature Film, Comedy Feature Film, Family Feature Film and Documentary categories. The HUMANITAS Prize was created to honor film and television writers whose work inspires compassion, hope, and understanding in the human family.

Focus Features and Back Lot Music announce the release of 'Revelation', the new original song by Troye Sivan & Jnsi written for the feature film Boy Erased. Fans can stream the song on all DSP's or get the song instantly with soundtrack pre-order here. The soundtrack to the film featuring an additional original song by Jnsi and score by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans will release digitally on 10/26 and physically on 11/2 with the film's theatrical release in select theaters nationwide. A vinyl component will be issued later this year with Music on Vinyl.
