Netflix Confirms Sequel to Will Smith Action-Thriller BRIGHT

Today Netflix confirmed via social that they will make a sequel to BRIGHT. David Ayer will write and direct the sequel with Will Smith and Joel Edgerton expected to return and Eric Newman and Bryan Unkeless set as producers. Bright premiered on Netflix on December 22, 2017.

According to Engadget, Netflix's first blockbuster film Bright has scored big with viewers. Nielsen figures found that 11 million viewers streamed the film in its first few days (compare to Stranger Things 2 number 15.8 million). Netflix has allegedly already approved a sequel to the film despite mixed reviews from critics.

The producers of The Parisian Woman, the electrifying new play by 'House of Cards' creator Beau Willimon, announced today that Marton Csokas (Loving, The Lord of the Rings) and Tony Award nominee Phillipa Soo (Hamilton, Amelie) will join Uma Thurman, Josh Lucas and Blair Brown to complete the cast, playing the characters of 'Peter' and 'Rebecca' respectively. Mr. Csokas will be making his Broadway debut.
