The VIP Reading of Joe Gulla's Two Act Comedy, 'REEL WOOD' is set for this Thursday, February 14th at NYC's Greenwich Village Iconic Gay Bar and Landmark, The Stonewall Inn.

Complete casting has been announced for a VIP Reading of Joe Gulla's 'REEL WOOD'. This special reading will take place at NYC's Greenwich Village Iconic Gay Bar and Historic Landmark, The Stonewall Inn on February 17, 2022 at 7pm.

New York cabaret is back and in many ways, it is better than ever. We can take pride in a community that is stronger, more supportive, and more diverse than it has ever been. There is, of course, much to do still, but we are on a path that may lead us toward a second “golden age” of New York cabaret that could rival the 1980s. The signs are all around us. Not only have most of our cabaret rooms survived the pandemic, but we have also seen the birth of new spaces this year. There is more crossover between Broadway and cabaret than we have seen in decades, and thanks to social media, there are more new artists on the scene as well. Even with all the pandemic woes, as Jerry Herman would say “the best of times is now. As for tomorrow, well, who knows…who knows…who knows?”

After a 15-month shutdown due to the COVID-19 epidemic, proprietors Steve Baruch, Richard Frankel, and Tom Viertel have announced that “Broadway’s Supper Club” Feinstein’s/54 Below will reopen its iconic red door for live performances on June 17, 2021. 

Playwright Joe Gulla is best known for his award-winning shows, The Bronx Queen, Garbo, Gay.Porn.Mafia, Sleeping With The Fish, and his sold-out engagements at Feinstein’s/54 Below and Joe's Pub at The Public Theater.

Joe Gulla's 'Members Only' will be presented by Almost Adults Productions on Sunday, September 13th at 6 PM as part of their ongoing LGBTQ+ Online Short Play Reading Series.
