The Stella Adler Center for the Arts announced a public event to discuss the life and work of Stephen Sondheim. This will be a multi-lensed look into the depth, complexity and nuanced work of Stephen Sondheim.

Everyone has a story or stories about the ways in which their life was changed by the presence in this world of Stephen Sondheim. This is mine.

Sex and the City has returned for a new spin-off series, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis. Read about the many Broadway appearances from the casts of different incarnations of the beloved franchise, including Chris Noth, David Eigenberg, Mario Cantone, and Kim Cattrall.

On Stage will take a look back at the incredible life and career of legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim, including tributes from members of the Broadway community such as Nathan Lane, Josh Groban, Mandy Patinkin, Donna Murphy, Laura Benanti, Joanna Gleason, Lonny Price, Raul Esparza and Michael Cerveris.

MEET THE PARENTS welcomes as its first guests, JOANNA GLEASON (INTO THE WOODS - TONY AWARD), CHRIS SARANDON (DOG DAY AFTERNOON - OSCAR NOMINATION), along with ANDREA BURNS (IN THE HEIGHTS, THE FULL MONTY) on November 3.   

Tony Award Winner Joanna Gleason, Tony Award Nominee Jeremy Jordan and Tony Award Winner Andre De Shields will star in an industry reading of Matthew Lombardo's new backstage comedy WHEN PLAYWRIGHTS KILL to be directed by Noah Himmelstein.

When you think 'haunted houses' you probably don't picture the inside of a theatre. But with an over 100 year history, many of Broadway's most famous houses are positively teeming with reports of the supernatural.

The film will also star Kevin Chamberlain, Betsy Brandt, Jonathan Del Arco, Dan Bucatinsky, Susan Sullivan, and Michael Nouri.

Gleason will write and direct The Grotto, which follows the recently-widowed Alice, as she begins to see her deceased husband's secret past begin to unfold once she inherits a forgotten nightclub in the Mojave Desert.

HE PLAYS THE VIOLIN stars Edmund Bagnell, 1st violinist and vocalist of the internationally acclaimed string quartet Well-Strung. Through stories and song, the evening celebrates all things music: from classical to standards, pop to broadway—and of course, with a good dose of fiddle thrown in.

Producer Mark Cortale and The Town Hall have announced the season schedule for Seth Rudetsky's Broadway, taking place at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street). Each evening, music director and host Seth Rudetsky welcomes the greatest Broadway performers for an up-close and personal conversation and concert.

Edmund Bagnell, 1st Violinist & vocalist of the internationally acclaimed group Well-Strung, will bring his new solo show Happy Days Are Here Again, directed by and co-written with Michael Schiralli, to the Crown & Anchor’s P-Town lineup for a summer-long run this season from July 6 - August 31.

Redhouse Arts Center’s 2021-22 Main Stage Season has been announced, featuring the remounting of a previously cancelled show. With every production this season, Redhouse will utilize its versatile theatre space not only treat audiences to a thrilling theatre experience but allow for social distancing and a safe return back to live theater.

Our friend Amy Oestreicher was a joy to know, an inspiration, an artist, and a woman who made sure she lived life to the best of her abilities. We will miss her.
